Guild Wars 2

I’m about to craft my Ascended Armor set and I can’t decide to go with Berserker’s or Knights.

I run mostly GS/Hammer and GS/LB or Hammer/LB, but I prefer keeping the GS for mobility. I’m a World vs World player at heart so that is where I will spend most of my time. I know Berserkers is a no brainer for PvE, but what about for WvWvW?

I’m leaning towards Knights, but going Zerk and Speccing 0/0/6/6/2 is tempting.

Need help… I’m stumped and don’t want to regret my decision.

I don’t use Sword and War Horn. I would say 90% of the time I’m running GS/LB or GS/Hammer.

Always have Greatsword, it is my favorite weapon.

You play WvW, but do you roam or zerg?

Either way, I would still go with berserker’s, just in case you do some PvE on the side. For roaming, zerk is definitely the way to go.

And if you decide to go zerging anyway, get soldier’s or knight’s trinkets. After the ferocity introduction, it does not matter if you get critical damage on trinkets or armor. So Zerk gear is the most versatile IMO.

I switch it up on the roaming and zerging. I have an Exotic Set of PTV with Dolyak signet that i use for zerging which is plenty of survivability. I guess I’m looking for more roaming gear.

My first set of ascended was zerker but as I rotated into WvW more, I ended up crafting a second set using Soldiers with Trooper runes. I am a shout/front line with hammer sw/wh and using the meta 00464 build. Overtime, I’ve tweaked a bit by adding a Knights coat for the extra precision and recently, switching to Melandru. This doesn’t provide as much vitality, but for my role, I needed the condi clearing aspects. A copy of the build is below.

If you want to roam using a power spec, zerk gear will give you all the versatility you need. You can still buy different weapons or trinkets (which are a hell of a lot cheaper) to get more toughness (cavalier or knight’s), while retaining the possibility to go full zerk (useful in both roaming and PvE).
