Guild Wars 2

Hey guys,

I am trying to get back into Guild Wars 2, but I am assuming a lot has changed since I have last played. I am a level 80 warrior that hates experimenting with builds, but am all over the place in what I like to do content wise.

I am currently speced all into Defense so I am tanky [sword/shield/bow] in any situation, but this is probably not the way to go. I would like a build that I can use in all situations PVE/WVW/SPVP not looking for the best build for a particular situation. I am looking for a build where I do not have to switch around skills and stats allowing me to get comfortable with the game and still allow me to enjoy all of the content.

Well I like my mace/mace longbow build for PvP. But it doesn’t have much mobility (Unless you swap Longbow or Mace for GS which would only require the extra weapon and one trait swap for use in WvW and PvE). Otherwise there will rarely be a build to fit every game mode due to their variations.

Having a build for all contents will result in a bad build for all of them. They do not require the same thing at all.

With hambow I defend points in pvp. With hambow I roam in WvW. With hambow I clear my daily fractals ^^ I only swap build/gear when Im going to raid.

Just another quick question. What kind of gear do you guys use?

Like what stats are you guys going for… Vitality? Strength etc…

Berserker with 65003 traits, use GS + sword/warhorn and swap sword to axe right before you’re about to start attacking stuff.

Use strength runes and put sigil of force on your axe, sigil of energy on your warhorn, and put sigil of the night+sigil of force on your GS.

You can use either arms I or V, doesn’t matter really. Also in the link I put above I have a sword there— that’s because generally speaking it’s the ideal offhand of choice for when soloing a champion. For random stuff I generally have warhorn on.

Here is my getting around build. Doing dailies dungeons and stuff. Tbh I am cheap and am using Citadel Runes… they cost me like 18silver and I can easily keep 2m of fury when getting about. With fury and stacks I have like 70%+ crit.

Swap in 2 axes instead of gs for spvp. Ideally I switch 2 from arms and pick up Cleansing Ire

Swap in hammer for wvw. Same swap as above.

Laziest build I know of.
