I’ve hit level 80 and looking for some direction or suggestions on my stats. I play my character strictly for P vs E and the W vs W isn’t something I’m even interested in. I’ve been humbled in a few spots and I think it’s gear I need to be looking into and believe it or not at level 80 I’m still learning some of the game mechanics. Hoping for some suggestions on where I should focus now.

I use a sword / axe for my main and switch to a longbow for ranged attacks and large mobs with other players.

Power – 1921
Precision – 1359
Toughness – 1186
Vitality – 1479

and my life sits around 24,002 with a critical chance of 29% without buffs from skills.

I play mostly for bleeding attacks with my sword and they seem to kick off rather nice most of the time and the bow works nice for adding burning damage.

Where should I focus my accessories and gear to augment this ? Should I ramp up critical hit chances, and I have really no clue what runes I should be looking at. I’ve pretty much used what I’ve found or gotten as rewards.

Well, you said that you have a fairly low crit-chance and you indicated that you also like to use condition damage, so my recommendations would be:

1) “Rampager’s” armour offers power/precision/condition damage. Those 3 seem to fit in well with your preferred style.

2) For rings/earrings/amulet, “Coral Mithril” offers the same benefits.

3) For sigils, you can get an easy (and cheap) 5% crit-chance bonus by equiping a “Major Sigil of Accuracy”.

4) For armour runes, the picture is less clear and probably depends on what you want to achieve. I’m no expert, but I think you need to look at the "superior’ level of the rune set to really determine where you want to go. For example, the “of the soldier” set offers “shouts remove a condition” at the sixth level, which for my personal build (which is really 99% Yojack’s build, technically) is a pretty big deal. If endurance regen is an issue, you could use the “of the adventurer” set. If your primarily hunting dragons, there is the “of the traveler” set (though this will be useless for everything EXCEPT hunting dragons likely).

You can use the auction house to lookup and research items.

Bear in mind, there isn’t really one “right” answer. It depends on your playstyle. You may prefer to use two sets of runes and only get the first 3 benefits from each (or something) if that fits your playstyle.

Thanks for the reply and the advice. I had been wondering if trying to up my critcal hit chance was worth it or if I needed to actually go for condition damage itself. Most of my time is spent exploring and I’m not a sit on one area and farm it type of player ( very boring ) regardless of what it might yield.

I still trying to figure out how some of these guys are saying they are at 3000 plus pts in these stats though. Are they all using end game items with ubber stats ?

If you want massive bleeds. sword off hand skills add a lot of bleed stacks while giving some heavy damage, unlike in pvp mobs don’t dodge or move as much so doing combos with off hand sword is quite easy, just a suggestion there. For dungeons I would try to get a bit of toughness as it keeps you alive long enough to see those conditions do their job. Runes of the undead give +100 condition damage, some toughness I think +30? or 50? And in the end converts 5% of your toughness into condition damage. So you can increase the power of your bleeds. These however sell a bit high on the BLT.

Other than that, I would put runes that increase bleed duration on weapons, forgot their name lol. Rest you can use what was mentioned above or just go with something of your own.

One more note; condition damage is nice, but I wouldn’t focus on it unless you were sure you were going to be doing PvE only. In PvP, removing bleeds is very easy (one condition removal removes the whole stack) so you won’t do very well in that situation. Since criticals are instant damage, they can’t be removed and they are fight-changing (ie: making people burn their heals). I think you -also- want condition damage, but I don’t think it should be your focus necessarily.
