As a ss/lb conditional warrior. Any advice?

Are you using the shout build as well? I find them to be less than difficult with the shouts as it’s easy to drop a ton of conditions on them while ignoring most of the conditions they try to drop on us. Take a look at the warrior build in my signature and see if this is something that might help. I know it’s strange but it’s been working well for me and I don’t have to change anything when going from WvW to sPvP.

If you are rolling an apothecary shout condition warrior, you really should not have any difficult against a condition mesmer.

I am a pure conditional build. My guess is that its a battle of attrition with the apothecary shout condition warriors. In WvW that’s always tough, since very often there are more than 1, that you are facing.

There are many possible condition builds as a mesmer, which we could roughly categorize in two families: static (do not shatter clones) and dynamic (with shatter).

In the static approach, the player keeps his clones up, never shattering them (except to get invulnerability in special circumstances). Not only do the clones add a bleed stack at each critical hit, but also they put possibly 3 bleeds and some cripple when you kill them. The gameplay of the mesmer here is therefore simple: mass-produce clones, lure you among them, and use stealth to brain you (the build has lots of stealth, and stealth provides boons thanks to the “prismatic understanding” or PU). Also, such builds usually have good condition cleansing (thanks to a traited torch).

In the dynamic approach, the mesmer will shatter his clones to inflict confusion and torment, in addition to clones putting bleed on you at each critical. This variant however usually comes at the price of shorter stealth time (no PU), and one of the two:

• either the torch is not traited to remove conditions, in which case the mesmer may have bad condition cleansing (good for you),
• or the clones do not put bleed on you where they die (in which case you can kill them without worrying too much).

In any case, beating a condition mesmer IMHO comes first by understanding which gameplay you face (static/dynamic), then by bursting the opponent and cleansing regularly. Make sure to not hit the mesmer when he has the chaos armor, though (you may receive confusion or blind).

Eventually, do not hesitate to kite or flee: the condition mesmer is slow and not very mobile. All in all, you should always pick your fights: do not fight a condition mesmer if you cannot flee (as in do not fight a ranger in large open areas).

Just run. Seriously. You may get them low, but then all of a sudden their condis will start stacking up really fast from you playing agressively and youve got to either get away or die. But if you don’t play aggressively then theyll just be able to easily heal back up :/ so you run

the problem once you figure what hes running mostly its too late.

i remember one Mesmer before the patch he just put dozens of condis, the only way that i got him is when i brought every condi-cleanse i got , cleansing ire,zerkers stance,Lyssa runes, Stamina signet and was almost about to slot shake it off too.

the new patch with out of combat traiting, made it easier to deal with those , now in addition to food and stuff, i have in my bag a GS slotted with Sigil of Generosity and Purity xD and you could trait Quick breathing for a horn , just to deal with this kind of mesmers :P

Elegie for the record a Mesmer is more likely to use mender’s purity, null field, or mantra of resolve for condition cleanse before they actively use torch for condition cleanse.

for the record I main a Mesmer.

otherwise if you can’t kill them run they won’t catch 95% of the time
