Hi there

I’m quite new to warrior and I’m sick of playing gc builds going with full zerker (I already have a full zerker mesmer) and, since I’m playing a warrior, I expect to be sturdy and hard to kill.

This said, I thought about picking up traits that improved survivability and support, such as the tactics tree, but I really need help with weapons, utilities, gear etc

The priority is that I have to last long while still dealing decent damage. My favorite weapon is the GS so, if you can help me building a spec around it, it would be awesome.

So far, this is what I came up with http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIMQNAR5ejgOJvxQCQ4wBAkir+yo4HgSPCrs0A-jAyAoLBZ6DEVIwZvioxW5KiGreBTXSEV7xLiWNA-e
But imo 30k hp and 3k armor is a bit overkill and I needed your help in balancing and optimizing my stats. I also would like to hear your tips on the build: should I change something? Should I pick up better traits? Will I do no damage with no crit? Should I pick up other utilities? What gear should I use?

Thanks for your attention.

Not sure it is worth getting healing shouts if you only have 1 shout slotted. May has well get banner regen. The amount of regen you get from that will be more than 1 healing shout every 25 seconds. It will free up a skill slot. You could also get endure pain or beserker stance for more survival.

Also, I don’t think greatsword will be that great without zerker gear. Unless you want it for the gap closer. If you want to be part of a team, use hammer for more CC.

Finally, you have no condition removal. Switch out for Holbrak runes and use lemongrass. You won’t take to much of a power hit but will gain some much needed condition removal or use lyrssa. Lyrssa will work with empowered trait. If you do use holbrak and lemongrass, may as well get dogged match. Always nice not to be snared.

Other than that, you just need to practice. Warriors can be pretty tanky.
