Hey guys

Well iv narrowed down my choice to three different options, greatsword, duel axes, and a rifle. At this point its hard to only go with two. I like the great sword with its rush, hundred blades, and I like how the auto attack stacks vulnerability. Duel axes feel good with duel strike, cyclone axe, then whirling axe. The rifle can hold its own while allowing me to keep a distance from elites. I know the axes have two aoe attacks but I think the auto attack and hundred blades hit all in front of you.

So its:
GS/AA-rush in/massive aoe
GS or AA/Rifle- Start range/melee/rifle butt when in trouble

I guess it depends on which does the better damage.

What does the most damage, GS or AA?

I think the GS and rifle go against each other a small bit because you can rush with the GS or you can shoot until they reach melee range the go GS.

Now im thinking I could rush with GS, hundred blades, switch, then use both aoe’s from axes.

Ill drive myself crazy think anymore about this. What are your thoughts?

I prefer greatsword, the charges, evasive movements, boomerang throws, and the ‘OHNOUDIDNT’ hundred blades allowing me to decimate groups of foes with the right positioning. Allows you to avoid damage with movement and quickly get back into the fight with rush, furthermore the primary GS traits are in Arms, same as the rifle, so if you go 30 in you can get deep signets(if you want), forceful greatsword and crack shot.

I loved axes initially, fast adrenaline and heavy burst, but no burst + 3 different passives from high adrenaline (12% damage, 9% crit, health regen if you are a chump like me and spec 15 into defense) just beat it IMO. Greatsword is more fun in my opinion, so maybe a bit biased, but thats my take.

Go full glass cannon GS 5 signet build.

But the very second you even consider going to dungeons, switch the build and the weapon to something more useful.Axe/shield with rifle or longbow is a good start.
Atm I use axe/mace and sword/shield, and have a longbow ready for some nasty anti-melee bosses.
