I’m going to propose this question here becasue ANET doesnt read the other forums obviously.
There are multiple threads in the warrior section and the spvp section explaining why this balance patch did not help warriors. Some of the so called buffs are not helpful becasue they are flawed “cleasinf ire” for example.
It is not a buff or a fix if its a nerf is more damaging than the amount any fixes or buffs that could cure the nerf. Then pile on a bunch of buffs for other professions that don’t need buffed.

This Podcast Explains exactly what is wrong with cleansing ire, it won’t help us at all. Its basicly what other classes get, except a lot harder to use since its based directly on our F mechanic. Which can be avoided easy by what we are weakest again: Immobilize, Cripple, Chill, Blind.

It’s not just the dungeon (though that could certainly use some work), it’s the build. If someone asks “what build should I run for PvE?” and there’s one universal answer then the build is probably in need of a nerf. That you can’t admit this doesn’t change the fact that the build is a no-brainer for PvE, and no-brainers are usually no-brainers for a reason.
Idk why people have to constantly bring up CoF. It’s a piece of cake for any profession specced for offense. Other professions with zerker gear are somewhat rare and this is why warriors are so favored. Try a group of warriors with PVT gear and you’ll see how “fast” they are.

Because it clears conditions on bars spent. If you are blinded for example the burst skill will miss thus it doesn’t help you. If you are shut down in mid burst or somthing again it doesnt help you. Also if far from one of the most powerful.

That sounds like a learn2play problem. If you don’t want to waste your burst to remove Blind, blow something else first then use the burst to get rid of the remaining conditions (if any).

Those won’t help us against constant condition pressure that these classes bring, ok I cured blind, now im crippled and immobilized. What do I do now? 30 seconds until I can use those again.

They wanted to make it as counter-intuitive as possible, just like all our other traits and skills. We got buffs to skills that nobody uses and nerfs to staple warrior builds, making the skills nobody uses sub-par instead of terrible and the good skills below average instead of average.

And now we can’t do anything but stand and take damage. We’re warriors. Please think about this for a second.
I’m not a necromancer and engineer who can stand back and deal all my damage.
Sorry, but I don’t think I can be effective and use all of those tools.

Anyways: With Cleansing Ire, we have the CAPACITY to remove up to 6 conditions every 8-10 seconds. That is HUGE. That is more than any Ranger can lay claim to.
And with Runes of Lyssa and/or Signet of Renewal and/or Berserker’s Stance, we gain even more condition parity. I can actually play Axe/Hammer Valk without worrying about being kited (much)

It means your not focused on what your saying, Warriors can’t leave because if we leave we make the fight last longer, the longer the fight the worst we are because we lack sustain and attrition.
The Cleansing Ire trait is really going to shine with Longbow and Sword Burst skills especially. It’s difficult to land Bursts and activate Cleansing Ire if all you’re going to run is melee weapons. Having no ranged capability, Or at least one mobility weapon gimps you really hard, it will not matter how much sustain or healing you have.
If Cleansing Ire removed conditions before the Burst skill landed There would be no counter play against the trait at all Earthshaker would land no matter how good a necro places their wells. That isn’t balanced at all. Flurry and Combustive Shot are excellent burst skills for this trait because of the multiple chances to get a hit off, and Combustive Shot will cleanse no matter what. Perhaps if the other bursts we have available were spread out onto multiple hits it would be better in general for this trait, but I don’t want to see these forums after Eviscerate is changed to multiple, lower damage hits.

I guess Ranger, Guardian, Elementalist, Necromancer are simply not balanced then, no counterplay.

And while those are on recharge he needs those chills/blinds/cripples/bleeds, which if Cleansing Ire removed before bursts would mean nothing basically. Over time the warrior would always win in that scenario. Sword almost guarantee’s the cleanse and Longbow bursts do guarantee it. It’s insane to want ES and Eviscerate to always land without fear of those conditions having a chance at countering them.*
Firstly, it would have to remove the condition either on use, or before hit. Either has a counter condition wise as well. If it removed before hit then chill/cripple could be used to kite. If it removed on use blinds could still be used on the 10 minute windup attached to all warrior burst skills. Not to mention they’re pretty much the easiest skills to dodge in the game.

It’s nothing but “I run a bad build, and I play it poorly to boot. But every single time I’m killed it’s because this profession is poorly balanced!”

They screwed the warrior so bad…. Embrace Pain taken away from traits? That skill only blocked Physical attacks for 5 seconds you were not invulnerable to condition damage. Why take it away? Berserker’s Power and Heightened Focus in Grandmaster Trait? WHY? Why not just leave it as it is or just lower the % from it rather than changing it into the Grandmaster Trait and adding a tinny bit of damage % to it. The one thing warriors were good at and they have just taken it away in my opinion. I don’t know about you guys but they kittened us up. Guardians? NO nerf they made them better adding damage to them! Mesmers made them more OP than they were before. The only class they kittened up was warrior, they should just change it back they were balanced as they were in fact they were the most balanced class until tomorrow. Yes I am kittening about this because what they did was stupid. But A-net wont listen to the community they never do.

The thing is, even the highest-ranked teams in the global PvP scene have already called out against the mindless prevalence of AoE in this game xD and with that volume of AoE sustain (which this game wasn’t balanced around), Warriors do have very little defense.
With the new cleanse traits/skills we have access to though, we’ll be on a level playing field.

More like in team fights I’m a big fat liability and die too fast or I’m just sitting in the backline being useless useless I’m pigeon holed into using a bow. Why play a warrior when I can play a guardian and make my team godlike with every single buff in the game, or a thief that can snipe people and lose aggro whenever I feel like it and escape any disadvantageous fights at will.
You want to play a warrior, you better make sure your team baby sits you so you don’t fall over and die.

If you are having trouble landing your Burst skill then try pulling their dodges before hitting F1.

See..the problem is we have to compromise a lot to overcome movement imapairment. We have to sacrifice our whole rune set as well as a minor trait or major trait (dogged march or Mobile strikes). You have to build your build to get it.
Let us look at the other classes and if they have problems with movement impairment in sPvP where balance is build around:
-Thieves and mesmers: Shadowstep, stealth and teleport bypasses any movement impairment as well as CC
-Necros: Superior condition removal/transfer on weapon skills and their heal which removes every condition. They are ranged. They don’t need to chase a target.
-Engys: Ranged, can pull the target towards them.
-Rangers:Ranged, BM has a 1100 range leap, pet is always on you, its hard to movement imapir both a bm ranger and his pet at the same time
-Guardians: Bunkers in spvp high end tourneys don’t need to chase anyone around. They wait for you to come to them.
So as you can see, even though we are the class that has any real problem with movement impairment, we are ‘buffed’ with sketchy mechanisms to barely come at the lvl of other classes to combat movement impairment who don’t really need to in the 1st place.
It just blows my mind when warriors are happy with compromising so much to overcome movement impairment in competitive high end tourneys to kitten their DPS and cc etc while failing to realize that the other classes have it way easier and they don’t need to close gaps as much.
It’s like giving a fat kid a skate board and telling him: Here..now you can catch up with those marathon runners driving a car..

The fact that the optimal setup for a five man party is four of one very specific type of Warrior build is not disputed, and it’s that one very specific build that’s getting the bulk of the nerf. If you’re capable of being honest with yourself then you’d recognize the nerf was warranted. If you’re incapable of being honest with yourself, then I don’t know what to say…

Getting both BP and HF moved to the grandmaster traits is a good move in my opinion. But i wish anet gave us a bit more love when it comes to CC and mobility in return.
Nope, only rangers/guardians/elementalists/necros/thieves get pulls. They are Anet’s love classes.
