I love my ele, but she was a pain to level and I want to try my hand at melee. I keep hearing signet build, but I’ve not seen what gear stats I should go for, what weaps I should use, and where to put points besides 10 in arms. I plan to level to 30 in pve, then a mix of pve, crafting, and wvw. Thanks in advance!

Depends on what you want type of build you want to run. For berserker, I run a 30/25/0/0/15, but I’ve heard that 30/0/0/10/30 is quite good too, once the bugged traits are fixed. Go for knights if you can’t survive well or berserker if you can. Axe/mace, axe/shield, and axe/axe are all viable weapon swaps to GS or rifle. Try to minimize the signets to around 2ish, so you can use some utilities(endure pain, bull’s rush etc)

go power precision, i leveled off that by killing things that were much higher level then i was because crits can’t glance. i went greatsword longbow and still do because i like how it plays. just my 2 cents

I think Weakness change affected all kind of glancing so critical hits should now also glance.
Signet-build is not that superior anymore because a) Deep Strike trait scales with level and b) Deep Strike is bugged and probably doesn’t work at all. You can still use them though but don’t expect 100% Critical Chance.

Why would you want to craft a warrior?
I could understand, if it was a level 50 thief(actually crafted my thief aswell), but warrior got no problems getting levels quickly.

As for stats, just go for a mix of power/crit and throw in some precision as needed. For defense, just slot all signets.

Fastest way to get to 80 outside investing large sums in crafting all professions: Faceroll through harathi hinterlands till you are level 50, then make your personal storyline till you make it to the straits of devastation, then it’s a walk in the park.
