I had previously only played an Elemntal but had enough of dying so have finally levelled up an Asuran Warrior thanks mostly in part to recent Champ farming. I have so far amassed 113g and wanted to hear thoughts on how i should spend my hard earned cash (i.e. spammed 1 and speed boosts alot which was kitten hard work.)

Interested in PvE, WvW, Dungeons. Thinking full Berserker and have favoured Greatsword, Hammer and Rifle.

Full zerk trinkets. PVT armor. Melandru runes.

Greatsword + Mace/Shield. Healing signet, berserker stance. Bowl of Lemongrass. Dogged march. There you go, meta warrior.

I wouldn’t go that spec, its FOTM and very predictable with a lot of counters.

I would go Sword/Warhorn + Greatsword and use Healing Surge. That way you have good Burst Healing and you can weave in and out of a battle. You can also cure poison before healing.

I don’t know if Zerker Warrior could be considered FOTM, more like FOTY.

I would just play with Zerker rares, dungeon farm for exotics. Then spend that money on crafting Ascended items.

Or something like that. Really your choice.

the advice in this thread makes me cry. For PvE here is what you want to use.

how you acquire the armor/weapons/runes is up to you.

Full zerker, it’s like an investment for more gold farming so u can get everything else

knights armor, zerker trinkets. zerker weapons

use a hammer axe/shield 0/10/30/0/30

not that terribly high of a skill cap weapon set, but you can do some truly terrible things to people. also you can set up your utilities to pretty well counter the meta warrior, since the meta warrior is weak to burst and every one of your disables on the hammer is a damage spike.

i like using hydromancy on my shield for the slow, helps land shield bash and eviscerate. impact on the hammer makes your earthshaker hit for 35% extra damage.

pve – full zerk
wvw – knight or soldier armor with melandru runes and zerk accessories

you’ll need more than one set of gear. In PvE, you can get away with all zerk and everyone will love you for how fast you kill things, but that sort of thing wont fly in WvW. You’ll drop fast unless you’re really, really good. I’m a bit biased, but I say go for s/s and longbow condition spam warrior for WvW. It’s a lot of fun. Throw runes of perplexity on it and it’s even more vicious. My advice though is just play around with some rare gear so you don’t waste too much money and come up with your own build rather than use some cookie cutter build that other people use. It’s a lot more fun and rewarding that way and warrior is pretty versatile in what roles it can fulfill. So you have lots of options.

Almost everyone here has been saying go full zerk for PvE.

Went full Zerk with a variety of weapons and enough laurels for an ascended ring thanks for your help guys!
