New warrior traits, buff or really a nerf?
Damage potential is definitely much higher now, but that’s true for pretty much everyone. If for no other reason, because of the decoupling of traits and attributes.
Whether warriors have become weaker or stronger relative to other classes isn’t clear yet. Against some (like mesmers), we’re definitely relatively weaker than we were before. Against others, it’ll be hard to say until the dust settles and metas emerge to bring less variability into the equation.
The mobility and sustain losses hurt us though.

Shoutbow got nerfed, so Warriors no longer have a place in PvP.
Zerker Warrior has always been a worse Thief or Mesmer, which is much more exaggerated post patch. Any Mesmer with half a brain is worth two zerker Warriors. Maybe more, actually.
I actually had similar musings as I had run 60206 or 60404 in sPvP as my top two builds. I can safely say that I personally do more damage, and that’s because of the introduction of quickness, and might stacking on Forceful Greatsword (Which I had no access to previously).
On top of that, Berserker’s Power gives a 20% boost now instead of 15%, and having that power boost activate after an Eviscerate (which will usually trigger quickness) has led to a substantial increase (might stacks from Forceful GS usually carry over to the Evisc as well).
If you used Rampage previously, Peak Performance was also added to make it much more potent.
Compared to game launch our DPS is a little weaker but our sustain is much much higher. So its a buff in those regards.
Compared to other classes. Other classes have been power creeped since launch so much by ANET that they are broken now and ANET doesn’t know how to fix them.
Warriors were ANETs scape goats where all noobs did was whine oh I got bulls charged and 100b for like 2 years that ANET listen to them finally and had nerfed warriors into the ground. And buffed the hell out of all the classes that the crybabys played.
Now those whiners got what they finally wanted they can 1 shot everything while warrior right now is pretty balanced in comparison. A couple things like rampage could be toned down. But all in all it seems good to me.

From what I’ve seen, thieves are in a worse spot than warriors, tbh. And they get way more QQ than warriors have for a long time.
People haven’t really complained about warrior damage output in more than a year or two.

I was thinking about this the other day. In all the ways that warrior was unique and useful, they were nerfed in some way or another. In exchange, warriors appear to have gained more damage, whether or not this increase in damage is beyond anything the other classes is getting remains to be seen.
Dungeons: banners were effectively nerfed (major trait lost).
PvP: Hambow was nerfed when they made you choose between burst mastery and merciless hammer.
Shoutbow isn’t as effective as it was before, partly due to the warhorn and shout heal nerfs.
WvW: Zerg warrior was nerfed due to shout heal and warhorn nerfs. Charge only affecting 5 targets instead of 10 really hurts its usefulness in zergs.
Roaming warrior was only good because of its ability to escape using greatsword mobility. Post patch gs mobility is pathetic.

They might not complain about damage output anymore, but they still complain about warrior mobility/“sustain,” which both seemed to take a hit with the new patch.

Yeah i do the same damage in pvp as I did in wvw before the patch btw but i believe its due to the fact of the new base stats from the amulets.
Also my critical damage for nerfed by 10% i believe so the 5% increase from berserker power(20% now from 15%), I feel i still do the same damage.
Like again, I ran glass cannon builds in wvw all the time and with this new patch i do the same damage(numbers)
I just do it faster because of addition of quickness
Also I do notice an increase damage in rampage(after patch)
yeah, i used to run 64004 with longbow gs and I used to might stack upto 25 easily soloing camps.
