Not a fan of Berserk as it stands
Im down for level 1 adrenaline bar granting 5 seconds of berserker
level 2 adrenaline bar granting 10 seconds
level 3 adrenaline bar granting 15 seconds
Also where we stand for now is this : Going into berserker with berserker power trait from strength line gives + 20% damage
So give the elite spec 1 bar=5 seconds of berserker and 10% dmg on burst usage if traited in strength line
2 bar=10 seconds of berserker and 15% dmg on burst usage
3 bar= 15 seconds of berserker and 20% dmg on burst
samething with cleansing ire
1bar=1 condi clear
2bar=2 condi clear
3bar=3 condi clear

i think the 30/30 three full adrenal bars to activate berserk is fine.
you don’t need to activate berserk if you are soloing a weak mob.
yeah its fine for pve
not so good in wvw for me at the moment since players arent static and its a ranged meta.

Pretty much this. If the fights easy enough to not get 30 adredelin then you shouldn’t be wanting or needing berserk skills.
Plus the new elite ability already gives free 3 bars.
I am not impressed with the Berserker this far…
1) I caught myself spending little time in Berserker mode. Actually I don’t look forward to go Berserker for any other reason apart from using stuff for fun. Even when I enter Berserker mode it seems too short duration.
2) The Berserker gameplay feels like a different version of a condi warrior although it has some new stuff (like the moving fire field).
3) Overall, the Rage skills aren’t something that would convince me to drop Stances
4) The Berserker feels less efficient that the Stance GS Burst warrior.
5) Some trait lines seem irreplaceable (Defense, Disciple) as they contain some traits that I consider almost basic stuff for almost any warrior build. There is little room for the Berserker Elite Spec to flourish.
P.S : I already imagined how a Thief can stealth and put me OOC and end my Berserking, how an Engi can block for half Berserker duration and then stealth, Ele, Mesmer can do their tricks and let my Berserk wear off… :\

True… but is that fun?
Imagine this scenario: You’re running around doing events, killing mobs along the way. You’re fighting them 1 or 2 at a time, and they die quickly. Because adrenaline empties so quickly after combat, there is no momentum from fight to fight.
You basically never activate Berserk in this scenario – there’s no point.
…So what’s the point of taking a tree that’s all about going Berserk, then?
In my opinion, it shouldn’t really matter if you’re just running around fighting small mobs or whatever – you should still want to utilize your cool new elite spec. That’s FUN. I think going Berserk should be encouraged and rewarded, rather than some extra pointless bothersome thing that’s only worth doing against tough enemies.

I’m not so sure I agree with it being fine for PvE because it doesn’t add a whole lot to gain from in it. If you think about it, what use would somebody in PvE have for pulsing stability, stunbreak on activation etc? The only one of the new rage abilities with use in PvE also is the 600 range leap that applies 10 vuln, the transformation itself is pretty underwhelming.
Suggestion: maybe redo scorched earth (longbow primal burst skill)? It’s too linear and you won’t really hit anything in pve or pvp imo. Kinda like how the necro scepter skill grasping hands got changed from being a linear aoe to a circle aoe.
Maybe I went too glassy in my build (I went like 40% zerker, 40% soldier, 20% rabid?), but I was on my back more often than on my feet. Those snipers would just obliterate me, way more than other classes I played. I’m not exactly sure why. My normal Warrior seems much tougher than that. I seemed to take crazy amounts of condition damage relative to other classes I’ve played.
As for the Berserk skill itself, I really do wish that it was something more “always on” in a fight. With the other classes, you have 24/7 access to their unique traits, but with the Zerker, I found it was a real hassle to keep her adrenaline high enough to activate it.
Also, the UI for it is a bit bad, with the F2 hidden behind the F1. Really with the Berserker I’d prefer to just remove the F1 abilities entirely, what’s their point now?

Isn’t that always the case ? We’re a class that is heavily relying on bursting where gaining the adren to do so can be a pain,then it also serves the 2 other purposes..cleansin and gaining hp.The design in this is just wrong imo.

I played a little on the reaper just to see how the changes made this class, and wow! Mordrem actually feel like paper bags! Hitting the reaper like little wet noodles! YUM!
The Reaper feels like it has high sustain and high damage while not having to worry about being CC’d as you always have enough Death Shroud around to pop into it and pop your Stability skill.
On the warrior however, you’re right, in full berserker, its the other way round, you’re the paper bag and get shot into the ground in a few seconds. (Anet did say they wanted Berserker and Reaper to do the opposite things, ha! Guess we didnt see this one coming.)

I guess it’s more noticeable to me because I’d previously been running a “max adrenaline” build, where I wasn’t really bursting much and would just let it max out for the damage bonus and sit there. I didn’t really pay it much mind before.

Yeah, the other two that I played today and yesterday were Daredevil and Revenant. The Revenant was really crushing (S/A Shiro/Glint), and while the DD had its squishy moments, the dodging and blinds made up for it.

How come other specializations is activated immediately after selecting a trait but ours are very conditional and have a time limit? A weaker burst damage already offsets tge reduced recharge time. Why cant we simply have 2 bursts to choose from when TRAITED to Berserker.
