No one likes useless skills, I think we can all agree about that.
I know that many warriors (including me) think “Whirling Axe” should also have its dmg increased by 50% in pve (as it is in pvp), in order to be more effective than the AA.
Yes, yes… Whirling Axe hits more targets. That’s not what I’m going to suggest.

“Dual Strike” is practically useless for warriors, since warriors are blessed with high duration fury via Signet of Rage, and available decently via traits & general group suppport by other players.

My idea is to replace the fury with quickness. Instead of 3 seconds of fury each hit, Dual Strike will grant 1 second of quickness on each hit.
What do you guys think?

Honestly, making the #4 AOE Fury is all it needs to be a good initiator in a Pure Axe build. Then swap back to A/M and not tough A/A until next group.

I use axe offhand specifically FOR the fury. For certain bosses that I know for a fact I won’t be taking any damage (Berserker Abomination in Arah P2), I can freely swap out For Great Justice for Signet of Might and gain ~80 extra power whilst still maintaining fury due to axe offhand #4.

It has its purposes, but unfortunately it is kind of a rare circumstance… especially because it’s only viable when solo and when fighting bosses that are trivial enough to take literally no damage at all the entire time.

Axe 5 needs a buff in damage and AoE to make it more useful than axe 1. Coz ATM there’s no point in using it over auto attack. Even in PVP the damage still is meh.

Maybe if Axe 5 did something like apply an interrupt, a daze, or something it’d be viable even without a damage buff. Just a thought.

I’m kind of opposed to the idea of giving it a damage buff because you’d need to give it a pretty kitten large buff for it to be worthwhile.

If all,i think whirl should get the same kinda effect as a thief using it,Reflect projectiles.

Increase both PvE and PvP damage by 50%. Maybe more for PvE.

Is the 80 power worth the 4 Vuln stacks, though? And, specifically for the Abom, Tremor will save you picking up the rifle. I’m sure using Tremor there, even once, will be better DPS than the 80 power.

a typical whirling axe deals around 10k damage and dodge rolls around 3-4k.
18k damage in 4 seconds without any cooldowns is AMAZING, and we can do it every 16 seconds!

i enjoy being one of the few players in pvp who fully realize the power of axe/axe :-3
its been my build for months and utterly melts bunkers.
last night i won ever tournament i entered (7 in a row)

so when i see people calling offhand axe “unviable” i laugh my butt off!

That’s it, waste your dodges to deal a little more damage. If you really want to dodge to damage, you can do it while weapon swapping. It’s absolutely not something that makes dual axe any good.

they’re just extra attacks which you can stack up.

plus is it really wasting your dodges if you’re using them to safely get off 18k aoe damage? (usually downing every enemy on a point)

i’ve never frapsed a match yet, but i can tell you that yesterday night i won 7 tournament matches in a row as axezerker
believe it or not, thats up to you.

with the right spec whirling axe is like a blender!

really?..i use a mace as off hand…..but i am trying out axe as offhand. the warrior running 100+ crit damage and lotsa fury equates to massive dps.
