So you know for a while I will admit this I never understood why everyone wanted a warrior rework I mean I myself believed that warrior should some new and extra stuff like unblockable skills and such. But after reading this recent patch update the only thing warriors got was a burning trait being able to use in downstate……… Are you legit kidding me. But no I look at guardian and oh look deflecting shot BECOMES UNBLOCKABLE! Now before you think I`m some random warrior player who only ever plays warrior and whines whenever warrior does not get anything that would be considered cool or new. I`m a heavy armor main I play both warrior and guardian equally. Soon to play Reveant once I finish my HOT story on my guardian ( already did it on my warrior).
I have been in guild wars 2 for about two years now and have at least played every build on the two classes from DPS to support or a more tanky type of build, even condi. Not saying I`m mr know it all but I know what these two classes can do. Anyways back on the topic at hand. I really dont get why whenever warrior gets something OP or considered op people rage and cry about it and it gets insta nerf within one patch aka rampage and a few other things. But people out there think Dragonhunter and Reaper is “balanced”. I played my Dragonhunter in pvp and pve nothing is balanced about that class and now you just gave guardian 3 unblockable skills. The only unblockable thing that warriors have is 1 skill and on top of that. That one skill is a sigent that only gives us six seconds of unblockable and there is also the trait that gives you an auto sigent of might activation. But still the “Guardian” you know the so called protector can do more damage then a warrior and have more unblockable stuff then them too.
With that being said if they are trying to turn the guardians into the new damage dealer then turn warriors back to how they were in guild wars 1. Look up warriors skills in guild wars one and how they were back then. They were the tanks of the game with ether high or mild damage. Not that I`m saying that warriors cant be tanks now they make a wayyyyy better tank in raids then a guardian does but the point still stands. Because in pvp as of right now its really hard to be a warrior main reason is. 1. you will most likely be the first one targeted if you are full damage and people can tell your build from a mile away based off your weapon. 2. if you go condi warrior other classes will just out condi you. 3. our stances have way to long of a cooldown and short duration yet other classes can do the same thing at short cooldowns. 4. ALMOST EVERY CLASS CAN DO WHATEVER WE DO IN PVE NOW so much for being unique.
5. Finally only reason to go tank warrior in pve is for raid which works well however trying to go bunker shout/bow warrior is almost undo-able now because of the other elite specs hey its even tough to be a bunker guard now too.
Also sorry this post is all over the place just alot of disappointment from Anet on what they are doing to this class I now know how Rangers felt. Unlike other people I know that warrior can be very good at alot of things can be a good support/tank good damage dealer or whatever. But the main problem is every other class can do EVERYTHING we do but 50 times better. So now I finally understand why everyone been crying for a warrior revamp
