OmnomBerry pie as a trait?

So I know Omnomberry Pie used to be OP before the internal cooldown was added and now it is no where near as useful as it was.
What if the Warrior had a trait that gave lets say 33% chance to steal life on critical with no internal cooldown? This would give the Warrior some sustainability but still keep Anet’s theme for the warrior.
Why not “Heal when you gain a strike of adrenaline?” grandmaster trait. Would actually give us a reason to use burst.

There already is a class that can steal health on crit. It’s called “the Necromancer”
Thematically and mechanically, there’s no reason for warriors to have a life-steal proc trait.
Unless you were somehow a W/N (gods I miss dual classing)

very very much like this.
80 warr [Blaze Steelsoul], 80 ele [Blaze Nightstrike], 80 mesmer [Grim Shatterwhirl]
80 guard [Dusk Grimlight], 80 engi [Flintgear]
I support this idea only if the trait is actually called Omnomberry Pie.

Well I’ll be kitten First time I can agree to one of Daecollo’s ridiculous ideas on how to make the warrior “balanced.” It would need to be small though. Probably no more than 300 for sure.
Black Gate – Immortals of the Mist [IoM]
I tried the Dolyak runes to see how much regen it gave per tick. For me it was 30. Really? 30? wasted gold!

Curiously, that could make things more interesting, if it was properly balanced.
The Grandmaster trait giving Berserker’s Stance with 5+ stacks of might could prove a problem, since it’s pretty easy to get 5+ on a permanent basis.
If it was perfectly balanced somehow, it could solve all the big problems of warriors:
- GS would lose a lot of its appeal due to keeping all the adrenaline
- Axes would gain popularity due to access to two traits for adrenaline strikes
- Discipline trait line would gain popularity due to the combination of burst with heal
- Berserker’s Might would actually be useful

Now this would be a crappy idea. It’s not exactly hard for warriors to get very high crit rate.
Instead of healing on every strike of adrenaline gain it could be healing on every bar filled of adrenaline. This would give you 3 heals per burst, could have the healing power of healing shouts.

This has got to be one of the best Warrior suggestions I’ve seen Daecollo. I honestly hope the developers are reading this thread and run with this idea. Kudos to you.

Love it, as does most of this thread.
Also probably need a clause to limit it to a single strike worth of healing when it comes to quick adren boosters like weapon swap, fury signet, zerker stance, etc.
Aye, Dand. They’d need to either put a 1s internal cd on it, or tweak the number a bit.
As it stands, a Warrior can gain adrenaline from:
(1) Heals
(2) Hitting
(3) Getting Hit
(4) Critting
(5) Shouts
(6) Weapon Swap
… and I wouldn’t be surprised if I missed something, lol.

I think the general consensus is that we need more use out of adrenaline than what we currently have, and the “heal on gaining a strike of adrenaline” sounds like a good way to accomplish that.

While I like this in principle I think it would be more likely we’d get a trait that healed when we used the burst skill(aka adrenal use) instead of on adrenal gain. This would inherently be self limiting as you couldnt posibly trigger the heal more often than every 4s (quick bursts, alternating weapons) and realisticly you cant fill your bar fast enough to maintain that pace for more than couple cycles due to CD’s.

Sword/Axe – Any Other weapon set, build adrenaline for Flurry, use Flurry, switch to other weapon set, use adrenaline skill, switch weapon sets, use Whirling Axe, use Flurry, repeat.
This requires multiple enemies attacking you but it is possible to have almost 100% uptime on your adrenaline bar.
I think it should be a trait that heals on adrenaline tick or adrenaline bar. 30 small heals, or 3 medium heals. The heals would need to be enough to give us some sustain without being the low level OP healing that healing signet used to be.

If this actually happened it would bring berserkers stance in as a used utility as well.

They give us this and I will hoop back on warrior right away, probably actually start loving the game again lol.
Also such trait would give warriors some better options for combining armor sets, for example healing power might actually become part of pvp builds in other to gain some sustain.

I think I’d reword that to be:
“More use out of consuming adrenaline”.
Currently, many warriors running around don’t consume their adrenaline as they’d before to get +crit_chance and +dmg from full adrenaline. I’m not a big fan of those as no brainpower is going into this. You gain adrenaline from landing hits. You’re going to land hits when fighting. No decision is being made.
