For the most part, I like rifles. The animations are nice, the weapon has some good skills, and is generally fun to use.
What I can’t get past is the auto-attack. The only rifle related trait, Crack Shot, is in the Arms trait line which is for Condition damage and Precision. But the rifle actually lays on conditions very poorly. Bleed is only useful in high stacks, and the auto attack is too slow to be significant. As a weapon for high crit damage the Rifle is actually pretty good.
I can see if someone wants to run a condition damage warrior they might go Sword/whatever and Rifle, with the Rifle being the support weapon, but it kinda limits the viability of the Rifle as a main weapon.
IMO, Rifle1 should stack vulnerability, with Rifle 4 changed to inflict burning. Burning has high base damage and compliments +condition damage nicely. In effect, you’d get a Rifle1 with a useful utility even with its attack speed, and a Rifle4 which is great for complimenting before or after killshots.

Guild missions say otherwise.
