Guild Wars 2

From 1 to 80 I have been a dual wielding Greatsword using Warrior(like many it seems). I do a lot of damage and my gear is mostly power/crit type stuff with superior soldier runes attached. Just wondering if anyone can help me come up with a viable build for 1h Sword/Shield Warrior. I am willing to take a dps hit, im trying to build a better warrior to support groups in dungeons and be able to take a lot of hits. Thinking of ditching my current exotic armor and trying to obtain a set of Power/Tough/Vit gear but not sure where to go from there.

Where do you spend most of your game time?
WVW, sPVP, PVE, Dungeons?

axe/shield + axe/mace is a pretty good combination of control, group dps via vuln stacking, and defense.

if you combine that with shouts like “On my mark!” and “For great justice!” you’ve got a good platform to expand on with traits.

I spend most in dungeons. I am set on sword/shield even if its not the most viable build I just like the 1h swords :p

No Sword/Board builds out there?

Pre/Con/Tough gear (Preferred) or Pow/Con/Vit Gear
Can do Sword/Warhorn as well ether for MH or OH
Crit chance buffed sits around 85%+ so you should be gritting quite a bit (The one +10 traited sword doesn’t show)

Sigil of Blood + Sigil of Energy/Sigil of Energy
Runes of the Soldier
Omnomberry Ghost + Master Maint Oil

High regen from passives+crit grants your more HP regen.

This was the build I ran when I thought Cond Damage warriors were cool, I’m now doing a GS/Axe+shield warrior for dungeons and it works much better.
