Hi fellow warriors,
I’ve been playing with Greatsword and axe, but I got quite bored of it.
So I wanted to play with the weapon I like the most : the sword. However not as a condition build, but power build.
With a full berserker set, this is what I can do at level 80:

Also, I use a rifle as secondary weapon, I do use Volley and Killshot, both do around 11k to 17k+ damage. Final Thrust hits for around 5k5 with ennemies above 50% hp.

I know it may not be the best way to do damage, but I think it’s fairly decent. The auto-attack is quite fast but I’m aware that axe does far more damage with its crazy auto-attack. Do you guys think it’s decent? I did quite well in dungeons and the block stance on low cd is very useful to avoid wasting stamina on a dodge.

There’s a guy in my guild who runs Sword/Sword and Rifle for aesthetic reasons. Sure, it’s not optimal but at least he runs with berserker gear. I always carry a longbow with me in case I need it, but the truth is using that rifle in PvE dungeons a lot is going to lower your dps. Using sword as your Main hand won’t be terrible, but ranged damage, especially on warrior, is just not good.

Berserker or not, please don’t join groups asking for DPS, as Sword AND a Rifle just do not qualify for that. It’s just rude to waste other people’s time who want quick. effective runs.

As a play how you want build, and without knowing your trait setup it’s the best damage that weapon set is going to do, yes. But anything is viable.

I was asking for opinions about the damage for this weapon set. Not dungeon groups.

Don’t worry about joining the typical 4warz1mesmer groups I already have my guild mates who gladly play with me.

Not real sure what you are looking for someone to say to you then.

If you want to run a “play how you want” build, which is basically what you are looking to run, then why even care that much about DPS? You are going to put out at least OK DPS with almost any weapon set as long as you are full zerk gear. The meta builds are for maxing DPS. Almost sounds like you want someone to give you the OK to run something other than the meta. If you are running with guildies anyway, do whatever you want.

Also, the 4war1mes meta was short lived and long gone.

It’s all I needed to know, nothing more nothing less. I felt ok with it, but I’m not a pro PvE player, I just needed opinions about it.
Also, I do see the 4warz1mes groups running around, sorry if I’m not up to date. I haven’t played the game for a long time. It’s been a few weeks I started playing again.
