Battle Standard:

“Place a battle standard that revives fallen allies and grants fury, might, and stability to allies”

Revival:

“Revival is the process of bringing a player or NPC back from a downed or defeated state.”

I believe Battle Standard only brings people back from a downed state not a defeated state. Please either fix the tooltip or better yet fix the skill to revive defeated party memebers.

I believe everyone realize is only from downed state, is a free rally which is great in pvp and dungeons as well as WvW. If they let you revive fully fallen allies warriors will become the new PVP Jesus. Is common sense imo.

Then make it like GW1 where skills had differences in PvP and PvE, make it rez downed and defeated in PvE but ownly downed in PvP. Or they could fix the tooltip to say downed not fallen. Fallen does not help you understand the skill at all

Still not gonna happen. The skill is fine the way it is, as for the tooltip, I think is common sense as I said before. Just giving you the chance of resing people in an area without the whole animation and bar filling is good enough, letting you bring the back from death in a dungeon or whatever else situation would still be too much.

Warbanner ressing people from being defeated would be so usefull that Warriors would become a must in sPvP and WvW. How much I like my warrior, I still think its a bad idea.

The ele skills used to revive from defeated, but they just changed it to downed only. Battle Standard won’t change.

I’ve gotten a few single-person rallies with it, but it’s more about it’s passive abilities and the #2 skill on it. I don’t think it should be changed to rez the fallen, but the tool tip IS misleading.

I think that rezzing the dead would be overpowered in PvP, they could apply the cap of 5 so that it would become overpowered in WvW but would be a great skill in Dungeons.

Fallen is not common sense for downed, fallen could mean downed, dead, knocked over etc. If they do not change the skill a fix of the tooltip is all I’m asking.

It used to revive defeated players and NPCs; that’s why the tool tip says that. Pretty sure I’ve used it to rez Hodgins on the flame trap stairs in A.C. explore plenty of times.

I could be wrong.

It still works in reviving defeated NPCs… but they don’t have a downed status, so the game considers them to be downed even if they’re not moving.

I think the bigger thing Battle Standards needs fixing is if you’re interrupted while casting, the banner doesn’t come out, and you have to wait THE FULL RECHARGE TIME. Ugh. I’m not sure if this applies to all banners or just Battle Standard.

Nothing in the game revives defeated players. Elementalists used to, but that was a bug and was fixed recently. Downed-state revives only.

I do, however, agree that the description should be more clear. I had to test it myself to be sure so I didn’t drop it on defeated players and look like a moron.
