The niche of Spellbreaker is to deal huge damage to foes not casting spells, right?

It’s hard to tell at the moment with PoF still in beta, but we can theorize it may be meta for Keep Construct, since the boss is completely stunned during the burn phase, and the Spellbreaker would gain full benefit to deal its burst damage.

What do you think? Would be nice to have a Power Warrior spec…

That would be nice, I just stay condi for now but be nice to have a good power spec. Also, I wonder this….
You all reckon this new elite more pvp/wvw based or can you see it viable for raids?

From watching a little game play video, it’s definitely power based with lots of boon stripping. The new spec looks well suited for pvp/WvW, but not so much for raids. Some of the self-stripping of boons didn’t look very raid-friendly, but I’m guessing you might be able to avoid it with different build choices. Too early to tell for sure.

It is too early to tell if Spellbreaker will have a viable PvE build. There is going to be a massive balance patch prior to launch of PoF that will likely rework lots (e.g. WP mentioned that Reaper is going to become a viable power build and no longer condi).
Also, we don’t know if burst skills will be modified in some way in addition to Full Counter, or what the other traits are.

I predict we will have a viable PS Spellbreaker Power build with Greatsword. It would be nice if we got an Axe/Dagger pure DPS build, but who knows at this point.
