Pure Condi - SS/LB
I would drop 10 in tactics and put it into defense so you can get spiked armor. Having retaliation about 60-70% of the time is pretty amazing and works well in 1v1 fights.
Also in Arms, I would get rending strikes instead of swiftness on critical hits. Vulnerability acts as a great cover condition.
And I don’t think two sigils of bursting works on the same weapon set, I could be wrong but if so, replace with a sigil of earth for extra bleeds.

I agree with killahmayne, having retaliation up constantly from the defense line is really, really good from my experience. That being said, I love ss/lb in pvp and find it a really fun playstyle. I also agree that the swiftness on crit isn’t really that big of a deal, warrior mobility is the best in the game and imo there are better options there.
Persiës Sunreaver (ele), Persiës (ranger),
Gromphe Baenre (necro), Përsies (guard)
I find the crit bonus of rabid to be lackluster. Other than that your build is pretty solid. Traits are always flexible with Condi builds tho. Full dire is what I run however. 32k hp and 3.4k armor is a nice buff yes? Your sword auto is more than enough to keep the bleeds stacked so u don’t really need the crit bonus for bleeds. But dire gets expensive to equip so in the end, nothing really wrong with rabid. It’s what works for you that matters.
Swap to dire gear as stated above. no need for precision, the HP will help more.
I would add at least one superior sigil of doom for the poison. It makes guards, necros, and Eles much easier.
I would use a mix of Melandru and Superior runes of resistance. and use lemongrass poultry or potato and leek soup (the cheaper version).
That almost makes you immune to movement imparing effects and gives you -70 condition duration (-66 with the cheaper soup)
The traits are all fine, you got the most important ones.
I would argue its one of the top roaming builds.
Thanks for the pointers!
I switched to dire gear at a 30% loss of crit rate, but I also gained almost 5k health. How do you get to 32k? With all dire gear and trinkets I am at 25k. Do you use a different rune set?
I have yet to change my undead runes because I want to stay a heavy damage build. I will try it out and if I notice my tank needs more support I can change my resist/durations.
I can’t see retaliation being stronger than a 1s snare. I find it so clutch when my sword attacks snag them enough for me to keep on them when they are running.
Ok, so it’s 32k give or take after world bonuses and guard stacks + banner buff when deployed. Here’s my current build…
condi wars are really strong and ss/lb works great in wvw.

I am having so much fun with this build! I have tons of survivability in group fights and can focus down targets with ease. A few classes cleanse a bit much but I just switch targets and down they go. I have won 3v1’s but excel at small group battles.
The final build I went with was :
0 –
20 – III V
20 – II IX
10 – I
20 – III VI
I just couldn’t give up my snare because I find that as my main role in groups is to lock down targets.
Love the build! Now if I could just get a better solution for PVE. I am having issues with survivability with the zerker meta. Any ideas?
Just tried this. I change builds with my 3 classes quite frequently. Used this type of build last night and have to say it was one of my better nights. This is how I slapped it together last night. Likely still needs some fine tuning …or any suggestions from the pro’s!
I prefer something more along these lines, which is what I have been running for about 3 months. Well, up until I quit a week ago and started playing Battlefield 4 and Blacklight: Retribution because I was sick of all the nerf whiners in this community.

I know Stronger Bowstrings lowers your damage on bow auto attacks, but I don’t use bow auto attacks for their damage, this trait is only used to make auto attack and fan of fire 100% projectile finishers (for combustive shot, but also nasty when teamed with a mesmer to apply massive confusion stacks). I also occasionally change out balanced stance or doylak signet for bull’s charge for an extra leap finisher/knock down/gap closer/creator.

ok first off, if this should be a condi build no spiked amor, retaliation skals of power and with dire or rabit and 0 points into strenth it will tick for almost nothing. also you need to be tanky to survive long enouth so that your condis can do the work.

Actually you are wrong. Retaliation with base power deals approximately 260 damage per hit. Retaliation with a full power build deals about 360. Retaliation acts similar to a condition in this case except the other person controls when to hit you. But if they don’t hit you they don’t do any damage. Pretty much with retaliation you get the equivalent of 2 extra bleeds in damage for 1 second each time they hit you. And if you have that 65% of the time, a good chunk of your damage actually comes from retaliation. It raises a condi build’s DPS significantly.
