Just want to know your opinion, with arguments pls.

Axe + Mace for if you really want to stop your foe.

Greatsword on the other hand for if you want to rush towards your foe.

For PvE, I hate to admit it but GS is just so easy and more rewarding. The only time I could ever see Axe/Mace out-classing GS is with sustained damage, Tanky DPS builds for PvP.

The extra evade weighs this heavily in GS’s favor. However, if you’re a Charr, it weighs heavily against GS.

I personally run A/M because I like the playstyle. A/M offers more consistant dps that meets the mid-range of GS when you can’t 100B all the time or you have to dodge to interrupt because A/M damage can all be done while moving, where maximum GS dps involves 100B and ideal WW.

Both are good, but it depends on your playstyle and what dungeons you are running. As far as the extra dodge, your extra dodge with A/M comes from using Eviscerate which gives you back 50% endurance.

Build for each is in my playlists as well.

Realistically A/ prolly does more damage, GS prolly stays alive better. As said already, it boils down to which playstyle you prefer. I’d say both are pretty much equal in strengths and weaknesses.

Whether axe has worse or better survivability depends on the offhand weapon.

greatsword has very good damage, especially with 100b. But their attackspeed is as fast as a mace. Axe has a bit less damage then greatsword, but has the fastest attackspeed of all weapons and at the same time, you keep slashing your enemy when you move around which makes it the most reliable weapon probably to use.
