So I have been trying to decide what weapon and spec is best for me in PvE; mostly dungeons. I think I have decided to go with the Greatsword over my preferred duel Swords because of 2 things. Everyone I group with seem to be condition spec and have bleeds. There’s no point having multiple people with condition spec hitting the bleed cap. Secondly, if there is anything I have learnt from running CoF so many times, it is that some mobs/bosses you can’t apply conditions to.

Since I am farming CoF a lot, I will most likely be going 6/6 set – Power, Precision, Crit Dmg %. Might get X*/Vit/Toughness accessories etc for the other parts.

  • - X being Power if I go with Spec #1, Precision otherwise

The two specs I have below depend on how I chose to use my Shout “For Great Justice”. Not sure if I should get rid of it completely because of my Burst GS ability.

Here is a spec I am thinking with a bit of survivability. Wondering what people are thinking in terms of the Power to Vitality ratio. Is it worth it or a waste of a tier.

This spec is for pure DPS. Wouldn’t ever use my weapon burst skill only if my Fury stack dropped off from my shout. The damage it gives doesn’t out do the passive damage I would get from 3 bars of adrenaline.

Please let me know what you think. If you like one of the mentioned above, or you have a completely different spec with different weapons in mind. I am open to all opinions. Thanks.

Only 10 points in defense/tactics isn’t really giving you much. I’d only put points in defense if you take it to 15 for adrenal health, and tactics if you take it to 30 for healing shouts.

With that gear, optimally you would want 0 points in defense and tactics so you can go full glass cannon. This is really risky in pubs though, as you will die a lot without good support+control. I’d avoid it unless you are with a group you are comfortable with. If you can pull it off, it’s worth it though.

20/20/0/30/0 would still put out decent damage while also providing healing shouts to you and your team.

20/25/15/0/10 Gives you another constant source of regen at the cost of some damage.

Both builds use the greatsword, which should be equipped with a superior sigil of blood for more regen.

If that’s still not enough tankiness, you could go something like 0/25/15/30/0 but you would have to ditch the greatsword for sword+warhorn.

I just did the math behind Great Fortitude (5% power = Vit) and it turns out once I have my gear that I will only have 1553 Power, which equates to 77.65 Vitality. Not sure if the ~1k or so health will out do the 3/6/12 % damage increase I can get.

With that in mind, I may end up looking at going a Shout spec with as you suggested 20/20/0/30/0. Does Empower Allies give the 70 Power to party members AND myself, or just party members? Because that kind of determines if I will be getting that tier. I guess with this spec I will have high amounts of HP and be more of a support would I with the healing Shouts and quicker revives.

With the other spec 20/25/15/0/10 I think that is a lot more damage intense with a small amount of HP regen.

Also why do you suggest Superior Sigil of Blood over other Sigils? How much health does it approx give?

The only gear I am going glass cannon with is my 6 armor set and weapons. My accessories will all have Vitality and Toughness on them.

Yea, great fortitude isn’t really worth it.

Superior Sigil of Blood is slightly more than 400 hp per proc. I suggest it since you will likely need all the regen you can get, even with toughness and vitality accessories.

Empower Allies both works on you and stacks last i heard.

So I have chosen 20/25/15/0/10 and I am loving it so far! Dishing out insane dps atm. Adrenal Health gives back 345 HP per 3 which is awesome and Sigil of Blood gives back a bit too.

Since I am going full Berserker’s for my 6 set (Power, Precision, Crit Dmg), I was thinking of going Power, Vit, Crit Dmg for Amulet and Rings, then Power, Precision, Toughness for Accessories. I dont think I will need as much Toughness as Vit due to Turtle’s Defense will more than likely be up each time I am in combat due to mobs abilities. Your thoughts?

Sounds good to me.

Toughness suffers from diminishing returns, especially on heavy armor classes, so yea you don’t need it as much as vit. Then again, Warrior’s have high base health too (18372 as opposed to Guardian’s 10805) so you might be able to ignore both.

Hmm this is true. Maybe I’ll get Power, Precision, Crit Amulet, then Vit for Rings and Toughness for Accessories. I think with this I’ll be sitting around 20k health and have near the 50% crit mark.
