Hello, I don’t play warrior, but I wanted to see how viable a build focused on locking down opponents would hold out in this meta (lack of stability from thief, rev and ele in this meta made me think of how a warrior can be useful to fight against it.)

This build I made runs pretty much has the same traits from a traditional skullcrack build, but I opted for hammer instead of greatsword and focused on having tankiness in the fight rather than alot of damage.

Has something like this been tried since the update and is it viable?

Hmm. Well. I Play a build with a similar Idea in mind, however i decided to go the hybrid route, and i use the new Kick and Stomp in conjunction with headbut. The way we go about it is very different, however. the premis works pretty much the same. Lock down your opponent so that they can;t do anything to you.

Specifically with your build in mind, Arms is better suited for a full on condition build. If you were going to go full on lock down, you may want to consider the Strength Line. for physical skills. Don’t get me wrong. you can still go Arms as well, with the new sustain we have going on speed is not so much a problem in PVP. Just remember that you probably want to move from Home to mid, and not try and go far.

I’ve taken the liberty of Modifying your build. I’m going to try and keep as much the same as possible. I went off the assumption that all you wanted to do was to lock the opponent down. If that is the case you are going to want that adrenaline from Arms and Defense. Rampage is awesome while it lasts but the cooldown is entirely too long. It’s better to use the new Kick and stomp and replace Rampage with Signet of rage. (which have shorter cooldowns, and are basically what Rampage gives you anyway)

I gave you Rune of Resistance, but my favorite is Malandru.

I just tried first your build, and my build. they both are viable, but i donth think they will be meta.
