Question about Hundred blades damage
Numbers add up instead of showing different numbers if one skill deals damage fast enough.
So that 5500 – 7000 is the total damage dealt by the skill.
I believe what the OP means to say is that the final number that pops up at the end of 100 blades is 1800. In that case, 1800 is the total dmg the skill did over its 3sec (or however long it lasts) cast not just what the final strike did. I believe you can open the combat log to see how much dmg each individual hit of the skill did (in the chat box go to the little gear thing and check the box next to ‘combat’ iirc)
Yea I always wondered this too. Seems like my A/M kills mobs faster even though GS puts up big numbers.
In general, any channeled ability will display the total damage across all hits of the ability, not the individual damage of each hit. So with the auto-attack chain, the abilities are not part of one single channeled attack, so it displays them all seperately. Since 100 blades is a single channeled attack (i.e. you can see its cast bar while using it on your screen), you instead get the total cumulative damage the ability has dished out.
Also keep in mind that there’s this weird bug where the added totals don’t reset, and you can end up seeing gigantic numbers like 30k+ and such. I don’t think any warrior abilities really experience this though. You usually see it on things like mesmer greatsword and engineer flamethrower.
Totally unrelated but 250 damage per hit on a GS warrior at level 48 is pretty bad. You should probably upgrade your gear some.
