So I notice that berserker’s ammy and ruby orcwtfever amulet of the berserker have the same base stats. If I am planning to us a ruby orb on the amulet is there any reason to pay twice as much for the berserker’s amulet over the ruby amulet?

Nope. You could even save up the laurals to get the ascended amulet in a month and skip buying the exotic all together.
