Rampager Build
I’ve tried a variation of this build. and it is great in Spvp. Only because of the Elite Skill. Its got a long cool down, but it is great to keep the cc going.
Typically i exhaust all my mace cc first, then hammer cc, then pop the elite skill. and go nuts. its alot of cc, but this is really only good with a great team.
I play spvp mostly solo, I don’t tend to follow the zerg so I get in plenty of 1 v 1’s or 1 v 2’s. It’s a very sturdy spec, but it isn’t dependent on the elite. However, when the elite is up, “it’s clobbering time!”
There’s good reason that you never see that elite skill used in sPvP.
Here’s just a couple.
-You do less damage than just using your weapons.
-While you have a couple knockbacks, standard weapons like a Hammer also have them but provide much higher dps.
The only real benefit of it is 30 seconds of stability. But I wouldn’t take 30 seconds of stability at a loss of damage especially when many of the attacks are easily dodge-able in that form.

You have a ton of cc that you can chain with your other cc. It’s a better complimentary elite, imo.
^ The problem is this. If you’re going for tons and tons of stuns, then you may as well go super tanky since you won’t be able to put out enough damage to compliment it. So you may as well stay alive much longer in order to keep at it.
However, if you want stuns and damage, you most definitely do not want that elite skill mainly because you lose out on a ton of damage and you handicap your own ability choices until the skill has been completed. The attack speed of that elite skill is incredibly slow, coupled with many attacks have animations that are drawn out – any experienced player will easily counter it.
I myself play a Warrior, and when I see other Warriors using that skill I just stop targeting them and go about my merry way because suddenly they aren’t a threat.
The only time I can see that elite being taken seriously is if for some reason you have a Warrior point holding clock tower. And if that’s what your group has dwindled down to then there’s probably some issues with your overall team composition in general.
You’re producing good damage and great control, plus all the ancillary benefits to stopping stomps and stomping.
Hey, I don’t mind if a warrior stops targeting me when I’m using it. That’s more damage and cc they take with no damage to me, so by all means.
Also you gain a larger health pool when you pop this elite.
Or you can just run a real build and be twice as effective. But I know some people like to feel cute, so feel free to waste your time.

Effective? Compared to what? The spec serves the intended purpose. And Defective…please.
