Fix banners by buffing them so warriors are more relevant in team fights.

Banner ability 5 can be used to instant spike downed players. Normalize banner abilities this just means ability 2 needs to be the same across the board, I suggest the defensive banner aoe 360 knockback like hammer 4. Also instead of throwing banner on CD after use warriors can reclick the skill to instantly grab the banner if they’re within melee range.

Add a new banner trait knock back enemies on impact and can instantly kill downed enemies.

This will give warriors a unique place in PvP, something that isn’t damage and gives them a more support role outside of just spam boons. Warriors aren’t lacking too greatly on damage/mobility front, they are lacking in a team presence role, this will fix the warrior.

Does anyone know why banner 5 exists? I always though it already DID instant kill downed players….imagine my surprise when the weapon skill turns out to be nothing but an animation that should never be used for combat (bind a weapon swap key). I would go one step farther and make it so our ultimate banner instant downs players if you summon it ontop of them.

Banner 5 at the moment is a blast finisher with a long cast time and a lengthier cooldown. So, pretty much a waste of a weapon skill.

The problem with banners was that they were designed at a point when the core game was radically different than the one we have today.

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

YA banners were also trash when the game came out and we had 3 separate banner traits. 1 was banner does damage when it casts. It was trash. Did no damage. And we had CD redux and regen both in Tactics line. Shouts were also superior.

The only way to make banners really good would be to turn them into a kit. Like an engi kit but let warriors use it Then the banner u have on your bar u just get that passive effect. You get a hobo sacks thing when its on your bar except it looks like the mist haerals back piece.

Well the whole point was that warriors can just as easily grab a banner lying around like how an engineer change kits as long as they’re in melee range making it 100% seamless. Nothing else changes but it would help teammates since they can pick it up too the old fashion way and still get the ability to instantly finish someone off.

Hell even the CD on the kitten thing doesn’t need to be changed its now sitting at 120s so its long enough that its still serves it purpose and not be brokenly op. The way I see it is that players can cast em behind an enemy and knock em towards a warrior..

i will welcome any banners buff.

Banner of Discipline , is essencial to my ultraglass cannon build on PVE, focused on using the GS full time in PVE.

Essencialy, i take out the discipline trait and put strength, and walk using the banner #3 and #4 to travel(and in pve we travel a lot) instead of Warrior’s Sprint. the banner discipline ferocity buff + berserker mode ferocity passive, make get near 240% of ferocity.

What make the banners great its their lifetime spam, 90s for 120s of cooldown. its work near like a passive skill.

unfortunately they seem impractical for competitive use in pvp.
