It’s my personal theory why people avoid shout meta right now.

1. Warhorn got nerfed.

2. Shout Healing amount got nerfed.

3. Spiked Armor does damage based only on Power. Since the meta comes with settler amulet due to increased overall damage output across the game, spiked armor works like nothing for shout meta warrior with settler amulet.

4. Condition damages does really small as compared to direct damage. I think Anet only buffed overall direct damage in June/2015 patch.

5. Greatsword trait is too op. It buffs dmg, decreased cd time and also might grant. Comparing this trait to other weapon traits, it is kinda forcing people to only use gs, making shout meta unviable.

6. Rampage (Elite for non-shout war) vs Battle Standard (Elite for Shout war). Currently rampage is too op as well as too short cd time as compared to Battle Standard.

there maybe something more to add though. Anet would need to buff some of above list to make it viable again I guess.

I never changed my build from pre patch Shoutbow.

The only real nerf is the less healing on shouts. Combined with the power creep that everybody else got on every build, and it’s a big problem.

I was using offhand sword instead of Warhorn already and that only got buffed.

oh you still use celestial? I saw even metabattle.com changed amulet to settler though..

Btw sword off hand actually got nerfed last year :_; (torment)
