Yak’s Bend(TWIN) Racist against Sylvari

I call this the Reaver build. WvW only unfortunately. I have run every Warrior build imaginable since inception. This build is the stupidest, most op, and dirtiest build I’ve ever played. I feel dirty. Plain dirty. The damage is unmatched. People have invited me to group asking me what the hell I was running, even had one guy accuse me of hacking.
The power lies here. In this sigil.

Does 1140 damage on interrupt.
Steals 1023 health on interrupt.
NO BLOODY COOLDOWN (YOU WUT MATE)
Before anyone whines about lack of mobility, you need to learn to swap in GS/sword for kiting, if you can’t you have no business here in the first place. But you can stay in the fight and take down multiples quickly, you have plenty of sustain if you time your interrupts, and not mash buttons.
-231% crit damage
-2600 power before might stacks
-45% crit chance
-33% chance for might on critical with 20% boon duration + strength runes for insane might stacking
-2600 armor (More with RR)
-Almost 20k hp (plenty with this build)
-Intelligence sigil on Hammer for swap OP smash combos.
-Healing and extra tough with RR. You have 2, you can drop bulls charge and pick up Outrage, but I like the extra interrupt.
EVERY TIME you interrupt a foe, you do stupid damage AND heal. You have a lot of interrupts with this build. If you wanna get real dumb with it, you can drop strength runes, and pick up Runes of the Defender for even more insane sustain.
If you wanted to make it more cancerous, I suppose you could go for distracting strikes, but that’s not my cup of tea.
Working on recording some fights right now, but I’ve won every single 1v1 and 1v2 I’ve had. Stay tuned.

Interesting concept.
Could you go through a typical fight rotation?
Looking forward to those vids to see how it works.
Here is a video of a thief using the runes. To give you an idea of damage/healing.
I’ve thought about working in the different interrupt sigils into builds too. Personally, I’d go Defender as you mentioned, solely because of how much you could be kited when running this build and because you have no escape. The sustainability would be very handy.
For a damage-oriented rune choice, you’re probably best off with Pack runes. The extra precision along with good Fury uptime will let you take better advantage of that high Ferocity you have going. I think the benefit would be better than what you’ll get from Strength Runes. Others worth considering, along with tweaks to your consumables, are Eagle and Scholar, both of which I suspect will do more for you than Strength.
Scrapper runes would be a middle path between the total offense and defense approaches above.
Looks like it might be fun, though. Just be mindful to not chain your cc’s like you normally do with a hammer. You need to give them time to start activating a skill before you cc them again. Stability on your opponent is obviously what’s going to hurt you the most.

Great suggestions, fun is an understatement, and I usually just wait for stab to be over while playing defensively, the very very rare scrapper and Rev give me issues, but those classes are over the top to begin with so I don’t get too salty.

Absolutely. Typically depends what I’m fighting, I always start off being defensive, just to test and see what they try to do and what they may have, most of the time it’s a very patient fight, the sigils do the damage, but you do a lot yourself too. Like Choppy said, chaining interrupts isn’t your best bet. I normally bait the stuns, everyone thinks youre going to line up huge bursts, which you will but not initially, don’t get me wrong, some people you will absolutely obliterate, most people actually. If it’s a smart player I try to use my interrupts spaced out, and during clutch times. Bait the stun breakers and punish.
Looks fum to play, goimg to have to try that sigil
i love how little that thief used anything but utilities and autoattack. its like that all they need. where a warrior usually is always waiting on cool downs
I use one similar but find stomp works great…thats up to 5 interrupts no cooldown. That or wild blow which can gen a number of interrupts and hits hard. Draining with no cooldown and you can get some nice heals.
Too vulnerable to range/kiting for me. Would definitely swap runes from strength to something tankier. Looks fun for dealing with melee enemies or doing an ambush.

Tbh those interrupt sigils work much better with a oh pistol daredevil than absolutely anything else.
Working fine for me, it’s just something new and fun, idc about most efficient. I’ll play it for awhile, then back to sword and board vaniller GS.
Frankly, these are the sole reason my elite spec suggestion has a low coefficient on the rifle. Glad to see people realizing how good these sigils are in the right build.

Problem is that CC chaining is no good, so you’re going to get kited to hell and back. Its ok on current ele meta, and can kill thieves but I don’t think anything else. Revs have too much stability/blocks/evades, guardian blocks, necro stability in reaper, druid ult stabo spam(really the pet is what kills you not the druid itself). I honestly think you’ll be better off just having sigil of air/leech/fire. If you’re ever going glass for anything the idea is always either to attack when the enemy isn’t able to attack back through CC chaining em or quick bursts. This build is bad zerk has no sustain.
That vid with the thief works because he 100→0 ppl in seconds. Notice how he is nearly full glass and only wins when he manages an interrupt. Shame he never fought any decent revs that actually run stability on dodge+bulwark.
OP welcome to 7 months ago.
So you run around with GS/Sword. Thief mugs yous and you’re stuck in combat with a bunch of interrupt traits and no CC. Useless
So you go into fights with Hammer/Mace/Shield. Everybody walks away from you. Useless.
The no-mobility criticism is 100% fair for any roaming build and it absolutely applies here.
