Berserker ranked 2nd last for both features and name
So if you give the classes points based on their rankings, Berserker comes out at 4 points
In comparison, the Tempest comes out at 7, Dragonhunter at 6, and Scrapper at 6
(And Chrono and Reaper both come out at 15)

At this point I’m just praying for a miracle to make Berserker interesting, it’s like they made Chrono/Reaper then completely and utterly ran out of creativity

I’m a warrior main (used to be guardian ages ago), and to be honest I wasn’t hyped about the berserker because I’m not a huge fan of condition based fighting. I love melee, being in the face of my opponent as I drop them. As HoT was approaching I wasn’t “excited” in any way because I felt that there was no class I truly wanted to play. The top things from what I’ve read that seemed interesting were: Reaper, Chronomancer, and Revenant.

I logged on to my warrior just to check my armor and food and figured I’d try out berserker. Holy hell.. was I blown away by how much fun I had, and am having. I absolutely love it. Even the voice overs are adrenaline packed when you enter that berserker rage. Your character begins glowing red and yells out “I’ll destroy you all”, dealing large AOE and fast attacks.

In summary, yeah I had no hype towards this to begin with but after playing it I love it more than anything they have released!!! Even went as far as to tell a dev in game that they did a great job on it. xD

The ONLY thing I’d say I don’t like is the kitten headbutt elite. It’s strong, it’s fast, the animation looks great, and used with the right traits/skills can definitely turn around a battle (I don’t even mind the self stun) but! the range on it is way too low. if they increased it by another 100 or 200 range it would be perfect, and you’d get to see that sort of tackle the warrior does. It would feel more epic.

It is just useless due to bad trait management..
So it was kinda expected to be that low on a poll

THIS, just made my decision of the first class i’m taking into the new expansion zones. In addition, with all the crap these other classes are bringin, in terms of conditions, stuns, and fears, that ’zerker line suuuure is looking right nice for negating all that crap and bein able to destroy things.

I was thinkin Revvie, but with all that fancy tankin and healin skills they have, I think i’ll just keep on mainin’ my warrior, because even tho we ain’t pretty, we get the job DONE!

Not surprised, Bersekers are all sorts of awful. They’re a complete mess, people don’t realize what a mass loss in DPS Berserker is compared to most current meta warrior builds. Anyway, I’m hoping the silence from Anet is because they’re completely reworking the spec, ’cause it sure needs it.

I have no idea why ppl are talking about conditions and Berserker over and over when there is ABSOLUTELY INSANE BURST POWER with Greatsword.

Entering Berserk mode
- gain quickness
- using Arcing Slice – gain 20% more dmg
- using Hundred Blades
- Arcing Slice (it should be easily filled again after blades)
- some auto attacks and Hundred Blades again
- Arcing Slice
Also you can use your Arcing Slice first and then turn on berserker while casting. It will use burst and berserk mode at the same time.

Holy hell since when is the arc divider base dmg so high!? Skull Grinder hits pretty dam hard too and you can use them back to back thanks to outrage so u can actually stack aoe might. SHET HYPE!!!!

That screenshot is out of context. You likely had a lot of Might stacks and the mob likely had a lot of Vulnerability stacks from a large group’s input, because Arc Divide does not hit that high normally. If you’ve happened upon a SOLO build that hits that hard, I’ll be more impressed.

20% dmg increase from previous Burst + 25 stacks of might + Blood Reaction trait (14% precision to ferocity) + Burst Mastery grandmaster (7% more dmg from burst) + foe below 50% HP

And im pretty sure 14,7k isnt highest i can get. Need more luck with rolls and I bet it can be 16k+.

That means you’d have to ditch the defense line though Either way, I have tried zerker Ham/GS it ain’t bad at all, heck, Arc Divider has more range than eviscerate and hits nearly a shard while having a much faster animation AND ITS kittenG AOE! This thing is a seriously good mg dealer, you can use it against ppl trying to kite u who think they’re out of range and still hit em lol. Also, that fire field for AoE might. Mace primal burst also aint bad at al, thing can hit like a truck and dazes.

The issue is you have to pick Discipline line with Berserk. <- solve this and Berserk is fixed.

Well defense line is waesome but as the name says it is defense. There is no offense traits in there. Of course you can get maximum value from using grandmasters Cleansing Ire or Rousing Resilience combo with Outrage. Also great synergy with mace.

But im not using anything else than Greatsword. In ultimate build you can even go GS/GS with some swap runes. The whole thing is about Arcing Slice. That AoE, that cast speed, that range THAT DMG!

Btw I’m talking about pure PvE content here. Trash clearing potential with GS now is total insanity.

Also I’m using Sigil of Stength (60% gain might on crit) with Forcefull Greatsword trait (gain might on crit with GS). In second slot i was using might on weapon swap sigil to get synergy with Versatile Power from Discipline (gain might on weapon swap again). But i realize if im hitting two enemies i can easily get 25 might stacks just by myself with hundred blades. So I changed my second sigil on Force (5% flat dmg). But i was also thinking about Accuracy.

If you want to be a little more supportive just change Discipline with Tactics for Phalanx Strength. Not only you will have perma 20+ might but ppl around you too!

I can see two obvious uses of Berserker right now.

GS + Axe/Axe – INSANITY with burst and damage

Mace/Mace + Hammer – INSANITY with controlling your enemy

Tempest is rated the worst there. The good name makes it worse, not better.

You will still miss warrior sprint/brawler recovery/destruction of the empowerment/burst mastery/heightened focus. That whole trait line is way too good and I personally think that warrior sprint is the strongest trait in that whole branch. Just think how many time it saved you.

Berserker looks like ResidentSleeper. I have played my warrior for 3 years and it is my only character. I was not hyped about Berserker ever since they showed on this site. It does not look “warrior” to me just some torch juggling clown or something.

Played Warrior main since beta, was looking to play Mesmer or Ele for expansion. Got on Warrior, got Berserker opened, and haven’t stopped playing it. I had literally not hype for it, very low expectations, but have managed to be unable to go play Chronomancer due to how much I’m enjoying it. Gun does absurd single target damage, somewhere around 17-20k dps, bow does insane AoE damage, can get up to 15+ ~ stacks of burn (highest damage I was doing with burn was 25k a tick, I’m in full zerker). Biggest crit with new Arc f1 GS is somewhere around 37k damage.

Screw your hype. It’s hype to play.

I did give up discipline, favoring Strength and Arms though. fml on that.

The Bereserker is the worst HoT elite spec hands down. There is no possible way to defend it or argue against that fact.
The berserker spec trait like actually DOWNGRADES the warrior and makes him weaker, you won’t see a single Warrior grind for the hero points nor bother to get the elite spec. And in PVP they prefer remaining as a warrior.
Compared to the Necros,guards,rangers and thieves for example. Who have elite skills that nearly double their strengths, and no life the game for 10 hours a day in the jungle just to get those powerful Elite specs.
Months of balancing and ideas and yet Arena net somehow managed to find a way to make Warriors WEAKER with the elite spec. My mind is blown.

Something will always be the lowest:P That’s how polls/voring works.

Not that I play either, but I find it amazing Chronokitten got more votes than Reaper for name.

Reaper is so kitten heavy metal!!!
