So as we all know there r some pretty bad warrior traits (well all classes have bad traits but let focus on warriors ) so I’ve picked the ones I most think need reworked, moved or outright scrapped and replaced.

Axe mastery: it’s not overly strong to begin with but against bersekr’s power it’s useless for dps builds . Even distracting strikes can be used in certain builds but axe mastery has no up side to taking it. Perhaps a damage buff for axe skill or maybe moving it to a different spot but as is its bad

Unsupecting foe: I suppose in a cc build with low crit chance it’s ok but the fact it’s only stunned foes makes it kinda weak. Against disabled foe would be a big improvement but would probably still be a niche trait at best

Adrenal health : direct conflict with burst skills. I think the health should be gained in use of a burst skill rather than as a regen type heal

Rousing resilience : might be ok with head butt and new stun break but unlikely when compared with last stand and cleansing ire

Quick Breathing : undo the nerf

Burning Arrows : amazing skill for condi war but seams out of place in tactics trait line. Should be moved to another trait line

Crack shot: rifle is weak.

Vengeful return: very gimmicky. Not worth taking over warriors sprint. Not sure how to rework this one

Inspiring banners: out of place and banner range is kinda small for them to be useful

This is just my suggestions. I would love to get some feed back. Maybe if we all speak out about what we want we might get some of it.

I’d really like to see the lines cleaned up to have more of a theme (like we see with the elites.) A set of related skills that have some synergy without depending on another line.

For example:
immobilize on crit, fury on immobilize should be in one line
phalanx strength and GS should be in the same line
etc.

For axe, it will never be useful where it is, lets say for example we rearrange Arms to make it more about 1 handed weapon mastery:

Precise Strikes
sword mastery, mace mastery, axe mastery
Rending Strikes
blood lust, body blow, signet mastery
Dual Wield
furious, distracting strikes, burst precision

the point is: each of those ‘lines’ is basically a stand-alone package. You don’t need to reach into different specs to make them work. That means you can mix/match builds more easily; right now it feels like you are well locked into str/def/disc (pve/wvw) and str/tactics/disc (pve) just to do anything.

Imagine redoing tactics:
(control) Leg Specialist, Opportunist, Crack Shot (and buff this)
(volume) Quick Breathing, Shake it Off, Inspiring Shouts
(movement) warriors sprint, dogged march, powerful synergy
with minors: merged rez talents, inspiring presence, empower allies

… it’d be a really tight set of skills then….

(I haven’t thought through that… just throwing out ideas.)

I don’t like how adrenal health works passively. I would much rather have it be like you said, where on burst skill landing regenerate health for say 5 seconds in a fashion similar to rangers troll urgent skill. Or my favorite idea would be heal whenever you gain some adrenaline (each point gained heals a small amount, 100 healing base per point). not gaining adrenaline no bonus healing. i dunno sounds kinda strong but its an idea!

This makes sense under the current system, and would definitely work a lot better than Adrenal Health does now.

I remember that under the old trait system way back, Warrior had some traits that encouraged you to hold on to adrenaline (old Berserker’s Power, Adrenal Health, old Arms traitline) by giving you bonuses for not spending it.

Now, we get all the bonuses from using the burst, and adrenaline decays so rapidly out of combat, that if they want us to “burst, burst burst” as soon as our adrenaline bar fills up, Adrenal Health is pretty much useless. Might as well make it work like Rousing Resilience: one flat heal at the time of the burst, or start a strong regeneration like Troll Unguent like you suggested.

This would work even better with the Berserker specialization.

The forceful greatsword – furious – phalanx synergy killed all other PvE builds, you run phalanx or you can go home. I would like to see axe mastery at master level and discipline turned into a viable alternative to tactics in terms of support – add inspiring banners ( which got completely removed without any reason ) to the existing banner trait and add one more GM banner trait, something like merge all non-elite banners into one and increase the effect by about 30%.
