Ever going to address this?, it deals like 0 dps and brings next to 0 utility.

Rifle is fine. It’s a Rifle.. it’s main utility is DPS.

Then it has no utility because its dps is atrociously low.

I wouldn’t call rifle useless, unless we’re looking solely at a PvE meta perspective.

The rifle’s ranged-burst style is great in WvW, and niche but usable in PvP. In terms of warrior being able to dish out ranged AoE damage, it already has longbow condi-build.
Rifle does offer Ranged Dps damage for power builds, which people can opt for should they want to build for a PS Power warrior in certain situations.

It’s not meta though, if that’s what we’re complaining about. It doesn’t deal as much damage as a Daredevil, doesn’t have the same dps buffing as a Support Condi, nor does it provide any healing whatsoever. But at that point, it’s bashing Rifle for not being the best.

I love the rifle, I don’t see it really as a good PVE weapon but more for killing players, it can be seriously painful lol

In PvE, I use Rifle opposite my Greatsword, because it fills in the Greatsword’s gaps by providing Range and CC.

That said – over a year later, I still miss the original Gunflame, and I’ll always miss the Piercing, Bleeding autoattack.

it was great before gunflame was overnerfed. had a good risk/reward build for a little while. but people just can’t dodge huge fireballs so oh well.

The only time I see use for it now are in certain fractals where kiting is needed to a certain extent, or duelling builds.
Mace shield/ Rifle combo is nasty in the right hands.

Whenever I use rifle and then compare it to the longbow, it seems rather weak (I run power) measured on the hits it takes me to down something in PvE. Maybe it’s just me. Then again, running around firing a rifle in that five shot mode is so awesome

It makes more sense in wvw. It’s situational they’re too, but can be pretty strong.

It’s far beyond useless,ive had great moments with it.Also try using blood reckoning as your heal.Double gunflame ftw.

Burst > Heal > Burst.

its great in wvw, the butt is useful stopping stomps and the extra dodge helps alot if you are fishballing. The dps isn’t super high but then ranged shouldn’t be .
