I do not want to get into a debate on what provides the most DPS melee or range. I am well aware of the meta GS/A/M and I use it frequently. I am testing a build that is GS/R and I really enjoy it. The reason for this post is to fine tune damage potential with GS/R not to discuss the meta melee build.

Here is the build, tell me what you guys think! It is biased off of the 30/25/0/0/15 so that I can switch back and forth between ranged and melee. I am interested though, if I wanted to just use this GS/R build, what would be some better trait options?

Good build overall. Traditional but workable. The only thing that I might change is taking balance stance over endure pain. The Oh-Sh…. button is nice, but from my experience, in general I would rather have access to on-demand stability (which often makes Oh-Sh … moments less common).

But it’s a decent build.

You mean the build that all the bad PUG warriors have been using for months. Even complete with divinity runes & a main set stacking weapon!

Its good that you know that best dmg output is for gs and axe/mace!
Now about your GS/R build (I gues its PvE build so I will look as PvE build on it):
Why you will need endure pain on berzerker in pve ? (not big deal but I dont like it)
Why the hell divinity runes? (totally dislike that)
And finally why you mess up with that rifle and 25 points in arms instead of long bow that can stack might (f1+3+banner of whatever+superior sigil of battle+signet of rage=14 stacks alone) and you will not need forcefull greatsword and you will not lose might stacks when you swap to rifle, and you can get 30 points on Discipline so you can get 15% more crit dmg, 15% more burst recharge and 15% critical chance when you have full adrenaline/ in general I think that this will improove your build and make it not so boring.
But if you like that way:

keep it all the auto attack “fun” is yours(plus all the effectiveness you lose with it)!!

Really the only thing I consider mandatory for rifle is going 10 into Arms for piercing shots. Anything else is ok. Also Vinter if you never have used a rifle why are you commenting on a rifle build?

Because everybody knows, and the rest need to know, the rifle is bad.

You don’t need to use it to know it sucks.
