So, I never played GW2 to have the best build, or the more efficient, or the build-of-the-week — I just played builds I thought were fun to play, even if they were suboptimal.

Prior to today’s changes, my main was an 80 warrior rifleman, and I had a lot of fun with him. The two main foci of his build for me were the abilities, traits and such that boosted his precision to the point that I was running about 70% critical chance (and it increased as my adrenaline increased to about 100% during combat). More importantly, I also had the trait that allowed my rife shots to pierce and thus damage multiple targets in a line.

So, am I correct looking through the new changes in that not only have those two abilities not just been reduced or changed, but actually removed altogether? Or have they just been moved somewhere else in the new system and I just haven’t found them yet?

I just got back into the game a few months ago after a hiatus of almost a year, and would hate to have to hang it up again just because my (admittedly specialized) build line got entirely removed. :/

Crack Shot (The Rifle trait) is now in the first tier of Discipline.

The Signet precision trait was nerfed to being only when signets are activated now. Lost a good chunk of precision that way, even more so with the traitlines removing stats.

Duty is heavier than death.

That’s where the piercing ability is now? Okay, thanks — I must have missed it while looking around the reorganized stuff; I’ll check it later tonight when I can get back on.

I can still have fun with losing the precision (I’m only down to about 2/3 of the shots being criticals), but not having the reasonable ability to engage multiple enemies at range with the rifle was really crippling the fun I had been having out of my playstyle.
