The ‘1’ abilities for Rifle and Longbow need switched around a bit.

The Longbow should get a bleed, while the rifle should just be damage.

You want bleed on your longbow ? Superior sigil of earth. if you have 5 in arms, this means that every auto attack can potentially crit twice, and those two crits give you 4 potential bleeds.

Attack speed is approximately 1.19 seconds per attack.

Sigil of Earth: 2 second cooldown.

This means it can only proc every 3 attacks.

Longbow Warrior
Attack speed is approximately 1.19 seconds per attack.

This means it can only proc every 3 attacks.

Even with a 2sec cooldown on earthsigil, , this only changes the calculation barely… 2 hits that can crit. Every crit gets a double proc layer ( 33% bleed from arms, 60% bleed from sigil [2 different rolls instead of 33+60]) making it that 3 bleeds is the max a single " autoattack" can put on ( if you’re lucky, doublecritted and your procs all activated). 1 bleeds per attack is about the “battle average”

Don’t forget that bow attacks aren’t instant and do require a little travel time. All in all, it’s pretty much almost every shot. I use an earthsigil bow in wvw and it’s amazing at keeping the pressure up on the move (esp chases).

If they did that, it would only end up breaking the weapon, besides it only being able to crit 17k’s on sPVP and 25k-30k+ on PvE/WvW, adding a stronger auto attack might be a little too much, allow Anet to leave it balanced with condition damage since it’s fine as it is.

One of the better suggestions in the warrior forums OP. I don’t like that you’re trying to improve this class by actually defining the weapons it has.

I agree with all the other people as well totally gamebreaking unlike Bunker Elementalists, Guardians, Thieves and Mesmers which fit so nicely into the back and forth gameplay this title has to offer.

Making the 1 abilities actually fit the weapon would take away from the mentally handicapped state the warrior class is in and bring a semi renewed interest to the class from new players until they opened and read the trait panel and utility abilities.

All in all a valiant attempt in bringing more use to a class that was designed to do one thing and one thing only speed cof runs with hundred blades bro.

The reason the weapons are like they are is because they are separated into ranged single target and ranged AoE. They’re both built to be utilized by condition builds and power builds. Either is viable for either type of build and are broken down to what purpose they need to serve.

The need for ‘consistency’ is artificial and only spawns the need for a ST condition weapon and an AoE power weapon.

I think they’re fine, I’m coming from a mesmer so I see the dual shot combo finisher the bow has as MUCH more potent than a single easily removed bleed from the rifle per AA.

1 rifle shot can trigger 1 bleed+1 traited bleed+1 rune+1 combo, the bow’s AA can trigger 2 traited bleeds+1 rune+2 combo. That’s 1 extra potetial condition per auto-attack. When you throw in fun things like quickness (which my spvp all ranged build takes advantage of), you can pile on a terrifying number of conditions with the auto-attack alone if there’s any fields to run on.

I do believe rifle attack 1 is quicker then long bow attack 1. At least it seems that way when using them.
