Rifle auto pierce
What’s the history of rifle 1 changes anyways? all i remember when i played at launch was that it used to do bleeds. it also pierced when traited i think back then. i come back 3-4 years later and it no longer bleeds and just pierces with the traiting. Now it does neither.
Like why does gunflame burn? Don’t really get the weapon as whole….usually weapons have 2 or more things that do condi damage OR absolutely nothing that does condi damage. Rifle just has 1 thing atm…like i dont really think that’s right when we have the longbow. I mean both are polar opposites unlike most of our weapons….one is for condi builds the other is power. I mean ive seen condi players with a rifle before…and its rather curious but its not very effective with the gunflame nerfs.
I mean would adding in flame damage to all greatsword attacks when your offhand is noncondition as well ‘for effect’ really make sense to you?

pretty much all on point
when they previously reword the crack shot mastery(which was need to have piercing on all skills), they made volley and killshot baseline piercing and removed piercing from auto attack on rifle.
this is very sad honestly very sad. if anyone working for anet is looking at this. Lets try to solver problems step by step and if you like, we can start with this issue.

The auto already grants 3 adrenaline with Crack Shot. Do you really need 15 adrenaline per?

when roaming and you kill people in 1v5 and they all hard res and everything else is on cd. what is your auto rifle gona do?
what is it gona do in wvw when killshot and gun flame are already nerfed on top of the damage reduction meta?

We used to have pierce on auto attack but they removed it, Anet please look into this
they dont need to grant extra adrenaline, its all programming
I love Warrior rifle so much, but I also do wish the trait would allow the autoattack to pierce like it used to as well (Or all attacks but Gunflame)
Frankly, though – I love the design of Gunflame, even after the nerf. It makes the RIfle a really nice, versatile weapon, especially in open-world PvE. In fact, Gunflame’s design is so great that it makes me hate Killshot. The Rifle is an adrenaline-building weapon, yet it has possibly the worst burst skill in the game. For an adrenaline-building weapon, its burst should be spammable and versatile, not situational and limited the way Killshot is. Gunflame provides a solid power-based damage component, a fast interrupt (That also damages breakbars in PvE), an AoE to affect clumps of enemies in a way pierce doesn’t always handle, lingering damage to trip up enemy players or help with condi-vulnerable enemies in PvE situations (Such as husks), and a fast cast time to let it be spammed (And I don’t think it roots. Seriously – Killshot’s Root+Casttime make it complete garbage)
Also I have lately noticed, killshot doesnt used to do the damage it used to be able to.
gunflame is spammable and has the interrupt + burn(helps finishes people). The nerf to gunflame was acceptable because it does seem balanced.
gunflame at its current state is superior than killshot even after the nerf to gunflame.
