Alright guys so I started playing again recently, rolled a thief, found out its terribad in raids and I don’t enjoy it. Rifle warrior seems interesting to me but I really need it to be effective in dungeons and raiding as that’s what I enjoy.

So very simple, is it effective? Does it have a regular place on most teams or is it just completely unviable?

You are pretty much expected to bring GS, banners and EA+PS as a warrior, with the very rare occasion where you need to play the burnzerker build. So no, nothing else is even close to being viable right now.

Gods how can they just make a weapon useless on one of the only 2 classes that can use it? What makes t so terrible in pve?

If my rifle then what else is any good that is not great sword (I hate 2 handed weapons). Is axe/torch or axe/war horn any good?

Basically is anything viable for warriors other than gs?

You hate 2h weapons but you like rifle…My suggestion for you is to roll a rev. It’s easier than warrior.

Sword/Torch + Longbow is very viable when played with full Viper’s gear + Sinister Trinkets.

Using a Greatsword with Phalanx Strength and Forceful Greatsword will give might to your whole team while Rifle is generally selfish. When set up right a Rifle Berserker might do better DPS on their own, but they won’t be making the whole team hit harder, which is more highly valued.

In PvP rifle is actually pretty popular. I would say design wise it’s pretty good now and when using a total glass build you can overwhelm several of the meta builds very quickly.
