Rousing Resilience and Berserker
I think you over estimate toughness.
Even 1000 extra toughness won´t make warriors tanks.
Those 1000 toughness are good to take a few hits, you´ll still want to dodge the big, hard hitting attacks, though. The real worth I see in this trait is the healing ontop of the toughness. The amout healed is just too little to help recover from most situations.
I´d rather it healed more and the toughness part gets reduced / removed instead.
I, too, like this trait and would like to use it, but i find it hard to give up cleansing ire for it, since I really need that cleansing.
The way I see it the grandmaster traits are damage/cc prevention (stances and vigor when using stances), condition cleansing with better adrenaline gain as a bonus ( cleansing ire) and cc recovery.
So you either prevent situations where you are at a disadvantage, counter conditions
or recover from situations where you are at a disadvantage.
The way it is now i find the last option, rousing resilience, lacking, since the toughness does not help enough, and the healing does not heal enough. You can prevent much more damage through stances and the ability to dodge more often or cleansing conditions, than you can recover from with rousing resilience, which is a pity in my opinion, especially since it also has the condition of beeing crowd controlled.
The synergy with berserkers will be very good, but the trait itself has to be more powerfull.
The problem is that toughness has very bad scaling. The more u have the more u need to gain for a noticeable damage reduction. Plus it has bo effect on condi damage

problem is that it is dependent on the CC enemy throw at you
The trait is bad in design and in the field. It’s silly to have traits like this that depend on your opponent to carry certain skills AND requires available stun breakers. Maybe if the healing was better and it offered protection instead. I’m not sure berserker will make it any more appealing.
Walk into WvW with 1 million toughness and no condi removal and a mesmer and necro will have you on the turf in under ten seconds.

Apparently they are going to buff rousing resilience´s healing by 130%.
“Rousing Resilience is getting a huge % buff (130% buff).”

The descpription is a little vague but i read somehwere on the forum the healing part gets the buff. That would increase the healing from 1100 without any healing power to
2530. Might be interesting and a well welcomed buff, looking forward to testing it.
In addition to the 130% healing buff, don’t forget that you don’t actually currently have to break an actual stun to get the effect atm. I had it trigger on dazes, knock downs, etc. Heck, I would use Headbutt offensively and get the effect.
That being said, when traded with Savage Instinct I don’t think it ever triggered RR which might be a bug. If it’s made to work with RR that’s 3+ ways of procing it which if my math is correct it’ll be healing for around 2,530 with no healing power. That’s no joke.
I could actually see a Berserker build that focuses camping one weapon set like this build here being fairly decent. Pick a LB or something else and just open with it but stay in Mace for the duration of the Berserk form and just focus on interrupts and bleeding. Stack a ton of bleeding, vuln, and confusion then use your heal. Also, all that weakness is damage mitigation making you even tougher to kill. I just put on Sundering Leap because you’ll probably need a way to not be kited.
I mean, on paper that’s a Warrior build that doesn’t use Discipline or double Endure Pain but still has decent sustain. That being said there’s so much condi removal around so who knows…you could make a power version with Hammer/GS but not having Discipline would hurt more and losing Strength just seems like a big no-go.
That being said I can’t complain about getting a interrupt focused build since I’ve wanted a viable one for a while.
EDIT: Sword build that loses one stun break but gains a EP
I don’t know if any of these will actually be of any use in PvP but at least I’m seeing some options now.
