Q:
im a DEF. shout. and 5 points for bleed. WARRIOR.
I was trying to decide on what gear to get, worked some numbers. and heres what I got.
[ ]’s are with x2 earring of cleric. x2 ring of cleric. & amulet of cleric. & with water gun/harpoon. This does NOTcount + stats that will be on sword, axes, rifle, warhorn. 2H sword.
note… my current build has HEALING POWER: 512 and my shout heals do 1150-1400.
Clerics set:
DEF: 1211
POWER: 224 539
TOUGH: 224 539
Healing p: 315 1082
Knights set:
DEF: 1211
POWER: 224 765
PRECIS: 224 539
TOUGH: 315 856
HEALING: 767
rune of water: healing+ 165, +15 boon duration, 5% remove condition when hit, shouts heal allies.
rune of soldier: HP= 1650 extra, toughness: 50, shouts remove conditions.
rune of fighter: power: 165, tough:50, use healing gains might to u and allies 20sec.
what does +15 boon duration do? like how much longer does it make it last, and which rune would be good. thanks.

If you go so far as to trait your shouts for healing, I would consider that to be a support build more than anything.
In my opinion nothing will improve your support more than having every shout you do remove conditions from everyone near you (it’s arguably much more helpful than having your shouts heal even), so superior rune of the soldier without a doubt.
y soldier hands down for your build.
+15 boon duration means +15% duration if im not mistaken;)
so a boon that last 20seconds then last 23 seconds.
If your a shouts heal warrior, your getting +30% boon duration already from traits. Never hurts to have more though.
Are you sure rune of the water triggers on a shouts heal? My instinct says no, because the description says “when you use a ‘healing skill’” not “when you use a skill that heals”. To me that’s an important distinction since “healing skills” are essentially a category of skills, like utility skills, elite skills, etc.
I roll with soldiers runes for shout healing build personally, and have no complaints.

Your instincts are correct, all those “effect on healing” traits and effects only work on your actual main heal and nothing else.
It’s a distinction that’s not very clear from the tool tips in game.
Soldier is a good generic choice. So are divinity runes (which apparently exploded in price).
Personally, I’d go with something support oriented, probably focusing on +boon duration and +might duration. Someone else already noted that you’re at +30% boon duration with full Tactics tree (shouts heal), so add on another +15% and up to an additional +40% further just to might and you’re looking at +85% might duration; with reduced shout cooldowns, “For Great Justice!” will have less than half the cooldown of the might stacks’ duration. That’ll make for some awesome might stacking on your group, especially when combined with Battle Standard.
At that point, you could even trait for Momentous Greatsword, combine it with a Sigil of Strength (assuming they stack), and push 25 stacks of might personally, allowing you to contribute meaningful DPS on top of it (the high uptime on fury should cover any lack of precision from gear).
I was thinking recently of running this build, but my only spare set of exotics has full divinity, and it’s really not worth trashing those runes.
