I just reached 80 with not allot of gold, I’m working on my exotic atm i have 4 pieces of Knight’s gear and when I get the full set I want to know whats a preferred rune set. I plan on running instances. oh and whats a cheap rune that I can use until I can get the better ones.

My personal favourite is the Soldier Rune. Shouts are already very nice to have, and having them remove conditions party wide makes them godlike. If you wanted a DPS rune set, I’d go with strength or ogre. Divinity and Eagle are a waste imo. ruby orbs wil suffice in that area for much much less. If you can’t decide or are short on money, orbs will do in the mean time.

Weapons and set up?

Depending on that I can suggest you a runes combo.

GS//Sword/Axe atm because I’ve been farming events.

You can try Rune of the Monk too. Gives Aegis to everyone every 48 seconds (signet of rage). Useful for squishy group members or to nullify a boss’ telegraphed one shot attack.
