Guild Wars 2

So, recently I’ve been drifting away from PvP and focusing more on WvW. I have 2 sets of armor with Lyssa but recently I’ve found myself looking a runes of Melandru, and then I look at the price tag. I decided to look for more economical alternatives and stumbled upon the Superior Runes of Resistance. While I’m sure they were intended for Guardian use it seems like Warriors could get some benefit from them as well. Perhaps you could make a bit of a wanna-be guardian if you use Spiked Armor like so.

I just want to get other player’s view on these runes. Between Whirlwind Attack, Signet of Stamina, and having access to Aegis it would seem like you would have decent survival in addition to respectable damage. However, I’m not sure the Aegis makes up for the extra -condi duration and -stun duration that Mel offers.

For a Warrior, I would rather go with Rune of Hoelbrak.

If you happen to be running a condi build, you really cannot top Rune of Antitoxin.

I ran 4 Res, 2 meleandru for 30% before. Its cheap and it works just fine. The thing that I found out while it works just fine the 5% over melandru or the 10% over Hoelbrak isn’t necessary. So it better to the either the 165 power Hoelbrak or the 165 toughness melandru. Because a 5% or 10% gain in -condition duration doesn’t outweigh the stat loss. That goes without saying though that they are cheaper and still. work. I’d only recommend them if you are on a budget.

I’m sure someone is going to come in here and say melandru is superior becasue it has the 15% stun duration this is incorrect. You are a warrior you have stability and stun breaks for that and you also have 2 dodges.
