The rush animation should really be 30-50% faster as it currently is.
If you chase a person with swiftness running away from you, you only close the gap with about 300 range. Compared to the ranger GS leap, rush is completely pathetic.

There is even a small slowdown when you start casting the skill, which i noticed running paralel to a random person. Once the animation starts, i fell behind +- 100 range

It wouldn’t be so bad if other classes got fixed. aka fresh air ele can cast all its skills without even facing you. So it’s really annoying to catch up to those classes that can just run away whilst doing damage.

Yeah, it’s been well documented. After the June 24 patch it seemed like all warrior movement skills that aren’t leaps became slower, even after accounting for the loss of benefit from speed bonuses.

The slowdown you’re noticing at the beginning is probably the point when your speed bonus (from swiftness or warrior’s sprint) stops applying and Rush kicks in.

Also, keep an eye on whether you have Quickness. If you have it, Rush (and any other movement skill) won’t travel as far.

This and:

Rush Always misses if your opponent is running away from you, nomather how close you are.
Because of its start slowdown and when reaching your opponent it does a slowdown also thus missing completely 100% every time.

NO gapcloser should be punished that bad.

So true, it’s super frustrating when you use rush to close in on someone flick your sword up and… nothing. And considering how often this happens it’s a major issue but then again so is Earthshaker not being able to hit enemies if they’re on any sort of a incline above or below you and that’s never been addressed sooo… I’m exactly holding my breath for a fix.

They should use the rush animation from the fiery great sword. If no target is selected, it like a walking dash. If a target is selected, it a leaping attacking.

That’s actually a really solid idea, that never seems to have problems connecting.

Rush could defenetly use some love. It’s been 3 years (almost) and it’s never consistently worked. It barely ever hits, and the aftercast is so long you end up out of range if your enemie’s running away …
