Guild Wars 2

SOAC Gaming is putting on an event for all of our podcast fans. This Thursday at 5:30pm PST to 8:30pm PST we will be hosting an all profession specific tournaments.

We currently have an EU and NA Necromancer Tournament Team running on Thursday, as well as several other players who are running other Profession teams.

We currently have the following professions signed up.

Rangers – 4
Necros -10 for both NA and EU
Mesmers – 3
Ele’s – 0
Engineers – 0
Warriors – 1
Thieves – 1
Guardians – 3

The idea is to have a team of 5 of each profession doing tournaments, strategizing, and talking about possible builds.

And the 5 engi’s will train wreck one of the teams. There are no custom arena’s so we have no idea who will be facing who, and we might go several games without facing another one of the event teams.

It’s for fun, and possible bragging rights ;p.

So it’s not 10 of the same profession in one game? I can have a better success rate by putting my warrior in regular tPvP… Having a team of an effective class against 5 that are not will just be a slaughter. 5 warrior v 5 warrior? Now I’d get in on that.

its possible you could, but the goal isn’t to prove one thing or another. Its too have fun and enjoy learning from others about the Warrior. To test comps, and builds in a nonthreatening place.

On the note of 5 of any one will lose automatically. We took 5 Necros two weeks ago into 6 games and won our last two soundly. Our first two games were brutal, our next two we started figuring things our, and our last two games we dominated. Its entirely possible to go either way with 5 of one.

We will work on doing it depending on turn out during the week, and I would have to find someone else to host it :P.

Dude, me too. I’ve been maining a Warrior since the first beta weekend and I have never been able to consistently do well in sPvP.

But you don’t learn if you don’t try!

The goal was to have fun, and enjoy the time running around. As far as I am aware, Everyone had fun!

On April 25th, sittingonacouch.com put on a Tournament extravagana that had never before been seen in Guild Wars 2. 30 players showed up and formed 5 specific profession teams. It was a great time full of fun. Here are some of the videos of those matches!
