SS/GS WvW Solo Vid
I really enjoyed your video. Nice to see someone using SS so effectively. Thanks for posting it.
looks pretty weak to me, and the fact that entire video is 1v1s is just… ridiculous.
Most of your enemies weren’t even using food buffs.
Why use off-hand sword anyways? burst on impale may be nice, but you are squishy to no end and will die whenever focused.
I’m running similar weapons (GS/sword+shield)
sword is there for utility, not for bleeds. Like, mobility + flurry>HB combo.
Given that you are full berserker…
DPS isn’t even all that great with off-hand sword.
Divinity runes are also not that good for a warrior.
I’ve used them initially and then ripped them off my build in favor of lyssa runes due to synergy with short CD on SoR.

Did Throw bolas get fix?
I see you throw a lot of it when the z-axis is different.

There’s always merit to trying builds that may not sound good on paper. I applaud anyone who gives different weapon sets a try and finds even a modicum of success. I guarantee people don’t see this amount of damage coming when he approaches with two swords.
“He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”
nice rip crits
double sword sure does look cool

yeah, i doubt anyone ive fought with ss has expected the amount of burst you can achieve with it. i myself didn’t know rip could crit that high, even just the spamable s1 chain does considerable damage. still the sword offhand needs some work to make it a more appealing weapon set.
@Evalia being Focused isn’t an issue, i’ve ran it in small mans, it functions the same as any other dps spec, position yourself accordingly and you won’t get focused, as for the lyssa rueset, i can’t justify running as a zerker and dropping 12% static crit dmg in exchange for a 5s buff on a 6p set that offers little to nothing else other then its 6p bonus. even if i trait for the cd reduction on SoR i still would only be using it twice a fight max and that’s only if i run into a bunker. it may work great in other spec’s but i personally just don’t see it working in a glass set up when fights end before you can re apply the proc the majority of the time. i will agree tho on how flurry chains nicely with 100b.

With your stupid build superior rune of lyssa offers almost 100% uptime in 1v1(they die in those 5 seconds) and allows to execute burst without fear to get CCed.
As for nice crits posts, 7k with full berserker gear is solid, but not quite the best.
Rush on GS does more damage(same on paper – but more cause of traits and might stacks you could get if you got proper GS trait that gives million of might instead of 10% S/S crit) and axe evis does more too.
I find it funny how you talk about low uptime on superior rune of lyssa when your ultimate goal is to destroy opponent in no time.
Also, you have 3 dashes and a lot of swiftness, taking increased movement speed in discipline seems irrelevant(especially since it’s a very small increase, 10%?)
I’d rather take 9% crit.
Also you should try putting 10 points in tactics for leg specialist or empowered(if you stick with lyssa runes, it’s 14% damage increase for those same 5 seconds in which your opponent dies, or rather 5.5 with tactics)
Calling lyssa runes garbage because they give nothing more than last bonus, you mean that precision is useless on your build? Condition duration is hardly useless since it that means more immobilize uptime. You also missed the point that they remove conditions just as they apply all boons.
I would also propose you reading up on critical damage efficiency – some pieces, like helmet, provide only 1% to 16 worth of stats, while ascended backpack has 1% to 7 worth of stats ratio.
“Nono go hundred blades glasscannon instead” thats what i read from the above post.. Nice to see someone trying to use S/S ive always wanted to test it bit never gotten around..
Good vid, personally not a big fan of Frenzy , just dont like the whole mechanic.. But really made me wanna try something similar out with my knight geared warrior…

Rush does similar dmg to Rip but has pathing issue’s so it will hit as much as it miss’s, i pick up 10% dmg on the GS its enough, if im bursting with in the first few seconds of a fight with SS why would i waste a trait on stacking might on gs crit when the majority of the time i will be using ss
the precision on lyssa same as the condition removal is a non factor. my crit already sits at 62% unbuff’d, 82% buff’d with 107% crit dmg. , and the condition removal is irrelevant when you don’t have any conditions on you, i pop SoR just before an engagement, if you don’t kill in that first 5s its gg lyssa buff’s and your stuck waiting for another what 38s? before you can use it the 6p proc again. even dropping 10 points to empowered you lose to much in other areas of the spec to make it worth while. i still won’t use it in a GC set up. my opinion on lyssa is the same and won’t change just as your’s is set and won’t change. just going to have to agree to disagree.
Im actually building / working up a S/S Warrior atm, level 32 so far. Limited play time, so will take me a long time to gear / level up.
Evalia sure is showing a lot of anger about someone posting a video with a different play style and spec than he/she uses.
@OP: Thanks for sharing your video and play style. Whether I agree with your setup or not, I enjoyed watching your video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks OP, that was cool. My favorite part was where you ran away from the downed Warrior who used Vengence, I love doing that because I can only imagine their rage as you just go about your business while they bleed out.

Lol yes, I love kiting Warriors who use vengeance just to watch them die after 8 seconds… I then /bow to show them I appreciated the effort of continuing the fight.
How dare you mock the best downed state ability in the game!!! lol
Christ if it wasn’t for the gear threshold then GS + Dual Swords would’ve worked in tPvP.
Makes me wanna just quit tPvP all together because some builds are just more viable in WvW.
How do you cope without condition removal?
I don’t see anyone putting 20 stacks of bleed on you.

I enjoyed the video, Sanny. I don’t really care much for the off-hand sword skills, but I like seeing people putting effort into different builds and making them seem fun.
If you didn’t already have those expensive divinity runes in place, I’d suggest trying out a set of centaur runes. Sword + GS are already so incredibly mobile, but there’s always room for more swiftness. Plus, the extra power and bleed duration would fit nicely.
Sanny, I am now trying your build. Before I was doing kind of a duelest build with swords with survivability. The problem with that is that the defense trait line is really crap. So far its really fun. A lot of things for warrior need tweaking including traits and offhands. If savage leap had the cripple and 3 had a kind of evade or something would be great.
Anvil Rock
meh its a okay vid but its just a GC nuking other GC and a bunch of newbs by the way some of them react if any GC thief/ele/mes got the first attacks you would be dead and like someone mentioned all 1v1s no skirmishes but anyway its nice to see someone using Sx2
The thing you gotta understand about Blackgate is that it’s pretty hard to find small group pvp regardless of what time slot you’re playing in. The NA presence of both Sanctum of Rall and Tarnished Coast is pretty significant and a lot of them tend to run around in larger groups. At night things get a little better but even then it’s pretty zergy. Finding even a 1v2 or 1v3 that doesn’t turn into a much larger fight is difficult and time consuming. Honestly I’m amazed that StG was able to find that many solo players.
I really enjoyed the video and I hope to see more in the future.
