Sacrificial Skills with Torch?
Tbh that has to be the most innovative elite spec concept other than chrono especially for a GW2 style warrior if it actually goes that way at least to me that is. Hopefully it delivers.

Setting yourself on fire to become more powerful?
That’s an idea I can get behind…especially considering who I main’d in Borderlands 2.
Well hopefully they don’t kitten it up like they did with corruptions. It’s a neat concept but the reward needs to be big enough to make up for harming yourself.
Talk about calling it. I’ve been theorizing with my buddies for weeks that the Berserker elite would have skills similar to necromancer corruptions in that, in exchange for health, you’d give yourself a boost in strength. I will get myself a cookie now.
Okay, that’s enough patting myself on the back. Anyways… I’m curious as to how sacrificial skills are going to work. I was thinking of something more along the lines of a dagger off-hand where you carve into yourself to send you into a berserk state. But instead we’re getting torch. So you… set yourself on fire? That’s… pretty hardcore, lol.
So far, I think it’ll be cool, and I’m anxious to see what the torch will bring to the profession.
Guard Torch already sets self on fire.
But I assume they will get corruption like skills as well.
I likely will avoid those skills. Hope the Mechanics make up for it on other builds.
Guard torch only applies a burning animation to you, it doesn’t actually apply the burning condition to you.
Well hopefully they don’t kitten it up like they did with corruptions. It’s a neat concept but the reward needs to be big enough to make up for harming yourself.
My thoughts exactly.
If you can set yourself on fire, I want the Saiyan hair for humans.

I always rage but never quit.
You could stab yourself repeatedly with your torch, curing a condition each stab but replacing them with 2s of burning (1s if you trait into it.)
So… Cautery Signet, then? (But obviously not a signet).
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
