I don’t understand how these detonate. I don’t even get what they are called….they have 2-3 names?!?!?!

My understanding:
-You get a special type of fire ‘aura’ from the 2nd last trait fire thing in berserker line
-you get another from activating fire fields (only from leaps)

-‘normal’ fire auras detonate with blast finishers only? or they also detonate with other leaps like shield 4!?

-once you have a fire aura on you……does it stack with the other fire aura you can get? Does it just stack duration? does it just overwrite? does it jsut negate the 2nd fireaura?

-the special fire aura you get from traiting says berserker skills detonate them…..that is the most confusing statement ever. WTF IS A BERSERKER SKILLL? ..they go out of their way to define things as “rage skills” and “primal burst (our f2’s)” and now we have this crap called “berserker skills” that aren’t labelled as such….wtf?!?!?

-does having fire auras traited also make it so normal fire auras are detonated by these “berserker skills”? do berserker skills always detonate fire fields even when not traited?

The wiki completely omits the answers to these questions. SO i need clarification. The wiki is horrid when things get even slightly complicated.

Ill be honest, the trait has never worked for me. Its the worse trait among the 3 so to me no biggie there are alot of issues with the traits in this game atm.

The trait works fine for me.

+33% burning duration. You gain a normal fire aura when you deliver a critical hit (15 ICD). Plus, while you have a fire aura, any rage or primal burst will detonate it. Simple as that.

What it seems to me is that the tooltip was written poorly.

Duration good, fire aura procs, but dmg on popping aura I don’t think is working.

I still use it I my Condi build.

I’m still not clear how normal fire aura’s differ tho. These would work the same way for other classes right? Like how do ele detonate their fire aura? Through blasts? Or since im a warrrior….does traiting King of fires make all my fire aura’s detonate through berserker skills? Then shouldn’t my fire aura’s also detonate through the same way an ele or other classs can detonate them? and what are those ways?

I mean I can torch 5 and sword 2 to leap through a fire field to create a fire aura. I can do that with or without king of fires traited. HOw does that detonate though? Just confusing me. later ill have to test between having king of fires traited and not having it traited.

Or do fire aura just NOT detonate unless ur a warrior running king of fires? I’m thinking thats the case? idk i look the stuff up on the wiki…go through alll the diff possible pages and can’t find anything but sometimes thats just a case where they omitted the information or put it on a 3rd or 4th page ’somewhere’in there…
I mean looking up king of fires fixed alot of my confusion on the wiki. Before, I looked up the fire aura/fire shield/ aura/ combo fields….and those don’t give you answers. Or mbe all classes have a special trait that allows them to detonate aura….idk!!! 10 wiki pages of every combination of things involved might give me an answer tho….if i can think up the pages.

Also I found that with king of fires traited, wild blow will create a fire field on hit since its 100% crit rate and it detonates itself automatically 0.5 seconds later. So if you move into the enemy as you punch them and they fly backwards…..then the aura will detonate for damage. Has a rly small radii, the detonation does. Just kinda funny that 1 punch will create and destroy a fire aura within 0.5 seconds.

You are overcomplicating things.

1 – The aura you get from from the trait is just like anyother fire aura. Elementalist can’t detonate their auras. Only warriors with King of Fires can.
2 – If you don’t have King of Fires traited you can NOT detonate fire auras.
3 – Again, Only warriors with King of Fires can detonate fire auras. Other classes don’t have that mechanic.

If I remember rightly (someone correct me if I’m wrong) a fire shield will also detonate when replaced by a new fire shield. So by chaining fire shield procs together (by either the crit effect, leap, blast, or rune etc) you can continue to pop them.

“Berserker skill” is actually quite literal, any skill related to the elite spec will explode your fire aura, including f2 to enter berserker form, your primal bursts, and all rage utilities including headbutt.

There’s no special fire aura. Fire aura has been a thing since the launch of the game.
