Shout Heal Build. Dwyana vs Soldier
I use the regen signet along with 3 shouts for buffing/debuffing and healing.
The Dwayna looks interesting as in when u get hit u will gain a regen. Which is usefull ontop of the shout build. Also whenever u use a direct heal, like shouts, u will also gain a regen and the group ofc. On the other hand, thats alot of stats to waste which should go in damage imo.
Personally i have a mix of 3x 2set runes, that two of em increase boon duration and the other increase just might. So in sum, my might buffing lasts for much longer compared to layouts without boon/might duration and i thinkittenep the damage up much longer (usually i run with 11+ might stacks just from self buffing).

Interesting, so you don’t use soldier or dwyana with your shout build. Do you use any cleric gear?
me, not at all, im prec/power/toughness mostly and my shouts are supportive. I think going full clerics with all healing gear u can get, you will actually make him a full healer, granting your allies a healing efficiency as good as their own personal healing skill.

Soldier. Regen is not especially useful in most situations, especially as it’s a passive heal, and the game is hostile even towards active heals. Having the ability to get rid of conditions on a regular basis is invaluable.
Don’t know about dungeons, I’ve only done most of the story modes and they didn’t seem that bad on conditions. However, soldier is invaluable for WvW when using a shout build. And you can get even more out of it by speccing for warhorn which will turn you into a condition clearing machine (although you can’t also get the cooldown on shouts, which sucks).
Also, afaik, healing shouts don’t count as a “heal” for traits or runes that activate on heals. You may want to test it out in sPvP first before you buy the runes to make sure you’re getting what you want.
I use a similar build on my war in sPvP. I gear with cleric, soldiers, axe/horn with the + heal/heal 30% sigils. And mace/shield with stun15%/30% heal sigils. I use the remove condition heal, and signet elite.
It’s like being immortal, due to extreme toughness and rediculous healing. And normally conditions would be its weakness, except it has continous condition removals. All that while providing aoe swiftness, vigor, fury, might, cleanses, heals, and some decent control/debuff. The damage is very minimal… but you can kill someone 1v1 given time, all while safely remaining near full hp.
Why? Gives needed gear…
Why do you need this gear? To do dungeons… duh.

For WvW at least (Can’t comment on dungeons) Soldiers all the way IMO. The +healing and regen you’ll get from Dwyana is, IMO, nowhere near as efficient as the constant AOE dispel of conditions will be for your group with soldiers.
The amount of damage mitigated (and hence not needing to heal) by shedding high bleed/burn stacks from your group will out way the additional healing and regen Dwyana will give you. Personal preference ofcourse but even in my full Knights set I run solidiers too. It’s honestly just that good for your group

So you’re like a bunker Guardian, but useless!
Haha, so we meet again? I presume you will look into my post history now and make quips on my other older posts too? Ah, such flattery.
It is like a bunker guardian in some ways, but no not useless.

Soldier is by far my favorite rune. It packs so much utility into shouts, it almost hurts. Between "shake it off, “for great justice,” and “shrug it off(trait),” you will almost never have any conditions on you, and its woonderful
I’m assuming shouts are considered a healing skill so they won’t proc regen.
The skills you can slot in the 6th skill bar slot, is considered healing skills,
any other skills, no matter if they do some healing or a decent amount,
are NOT considered healing skills.
If you ever find yourself trying to outheal conditions, let me know so I can fire some poison your way and see how that goes for you. ;P
When you can easily avoid damage, don’t try to rep your way through it. Unless you’re a masochist.
