tested shout healing warrior last night in unranked. Defense, tactics, berserker GS/Mace/Shield Menders amulet Trooper Runes.

Was annoying as heck trying to get used to not having fast hands but the group support is impressive. Did almost 400k healing that match. Obviously DPS is much lower but you wanna stay in Team fights so that your 2.2K hp heal per shout plus condi clears can help the most people.

Heal sig/Adrenal Health plus shouts means on average my heal ticks at over 1300hp per sec. And the support to your team is in the order of over 400hp/sec.

Shake it off will remove 3 condi and you have that shout twice (via trait). For great justice is perma 6 stacks of might now (180 power/condition damage) is very welcome.

Cleaning Ire and the shout condi remove means you don’t miss berserker stance.

I will probably test it more so that I can get used to not having fast hands. Many times I would setup a stun rotation and realize I couldn’t swap to GS yet for the 100 blades Arc Divider combo.

7780 heal 15s cd = 518/sec (1 s cast time ) 3 condi removed

Heal sig with menders = 435/sec (no cast time) plus 6 sec resistance on active

I feel like with the amount of CC going around even with Eternal Champion I don’t want to risk getting interrupted just for an extra 83 hp/s. Plus like with DH heal trap I feel like very big heals are not always the most efficient whereas Heal Sig will always tick if you are not on full HP.

To The Limit fits better (shout)

12400 heal with 24s cd (516 hp/sec) and removes 1 condi and gives 50% endurance back and completely refills your adrenaline bar with same cast time of 1 sec. (ok I just countered my own argument for large heals but my point is if I want a large heal id rather take To The Limit)

would agree with you before i tested mending. cast is pretty easy to get off, whereas to the limit gets interrupted a lot. i think that’s due to TtL having a bigger animation.

i found passive healing from AH allowed me to have enough sustained healing, while mending allowed me to ‘top up’ my bar so i never stayed low HP long. i’ve never liked being super low & having no big heal, but hey maybe thats just me.

I don’t think I could ever choose Berserker in place of Discipline, but why not give it a try indeed. I’ve yet to install the update.

The first thing that crossed my mind after reading the patch notes was to re-use some WvW shout frontliner in PvP, with mender amulet and soldier runes.

Balanced Stance, Shake it Off and Shrug it Off always worked well with Rousing Resilience. Fierce Blow and Call to Arms might work with Cull the Weak. The build can be tuned towards defense and support (Brawler’s Recovery, Dogged March, Sigil of Renewal, Sigil of transference) or CC and attack (Destruction of the Empowered, Cull the Weak, Sigil of Impact, Sigil of Paralyzation).

Edit: didn’t mention it, but one reason that let me think back to that build is the change to light fields – blast into them for frequent cleansing, similar to what we used to do with water fields in wvw fights.

Just FYI I got around to trying that Warrior I suggested using Tempest runes, Condition build with Settlers using Shouts and Rousing for added heals. I do not PvP so this was just WvW. The healing was unreal as I was getting 7.5 k off shake it off plus healing up teamates for huge chunks. I still tweak and play with it to get a bit more damage but if you want a guy that can pull in huge heals at will it might work on PvP side.

I went very much that build I linked to when i was theorycrafting. I tend to prefer power in warrior but not sure the runes would work as well in a power build or if they even allowed in Pvp. Still testing but I had some good success with it so far.
