You don’t honestly think im suggesting for you to kill all illusions first, then focus the Mesmer, just to limit their healing a tiny bit? Comprehension and common sense are great tools. The big reason its worse than healing signet is that the heal is every time you hit, not every second like HS is. However, i could see an interesting build out of either GS or staff with their multi hit autos. But this isn’t the Mesmer forum so w/e

What do you mean “every time you hit”? So far as I can tell from the tooltip, Signet of the Ether passively heals you over time based on how many Illusions you have out. It has nothing to do with hitting your enemy or attack rate.

Huh, i thought it was like the thief and else signet, every time you attack youre healed for X amount. Well nvm this could actually be really strong.
It’s a passive heal over time, but it doesn’t state the tick interval. It may be similar to Adrenal Health in that the ticks are spaced apart more than one second. I say this mainly because the numbers as presented when you chatlink this signet in-game are pretty insane.
Also, possibility that what we can see in-game with chatlinks isn’t the finalised form of the skill. The confirmation of what the skills do will come in a livestream tomorrow, and the numbers probably won’t be confirmed til the update releases.
This has to have a three second interval.
Someone on the Mesmer forum posted the spanish skill description. It actually says something about being healed every few seconds. The Signet will most likely not heal the Mesmer every second.
you also have to take in mind that mesmer is more fragile and has more use out of burst heals than passive heals. Don’t get me wrong I think the upcoming mesmer is a bad idea and it will all come down to numbers. Also the last thing I’d want is to see PU mesmer or phantasm mesmer to become viable, like we need another passive kitten build in the meta.
This doesn’t change my point however, that it is not healing signet 2.0 as mesmer relies on a completely different mechanic and damage mitigation

i dont see anything wrong about phantasm mesmer behing viable. Shatter is way overused and people all rely way to much on illusion shatter when mesmer is basicaly about hiding amonst your illusion (when its not sword pistol its staff cond bunker you guys are all the same). I agree arena net on the point that mesmer needs more diversity in its build and that as such build such as phantasm and mainly mantra deserve an improve especialy mantra wich is isnt played at all to begin with (how many of you even use healing mantra or traited 30 point to get a third use on your mantra please be honest?)
If i can tell right away from looking at a mesmer what build hes gunna use theres a serious problem of diversity in the clkittenter might be a hard to play and realy rewarding spec i dont see why it has to be the only good spec mesmer has availlable this isnt about behing pro like its about making sure all builds are equal or so i think this is arena net mentality.

If it is every second, well say hello to giving an already broken dueling PU spec a huge buff. All it would be is stealth, kite, block while they heal for an absurd amount. Mesmers can spit out a clone on dodge every 5 seconds, not to mention a buttload of skills that summon illusions on low cooldowns. It really isn’t difficult to keep almost full uptime on 3 illusions.
at 3 illusion and 250 healing power 1000 hp/3second
relative to a Mesmer’s health pool i say this is not bad

Strictly worse than Healing Signet at 0 healing power, and even the healing it does give is conditional. Scaling… currently unknown. Just like Healing Signet, has a weakness to burst and poison.
I doubt it’ll be OP. Decent, yes, but not OP. It may end up finding its way into builds looking more to abuse the active rather than the passive.
