Q:
Slight changes to the Hammer
It’s an AoE hard cc, it can’t be “less predictable” because it would be too strong. I say this as a hammer warrior main.

the only real changes hammer needs is 4 needs to be castable on the move and 5 either needs to be aoe or the cd reduced, other then that I think everything else works well.
sometimes earthshaker bugs on terrain but it’s manageable
Earthshaker needs gravity not stability. When I target something below me on terrain with a skill that makes me leap at it, then I should leap at it – not the air above it.
Earthshaker needs anti-blind mechanism. This is one of major problems with hammer atm.

Hammer is fine as it is now, there’s really no need to change it or it’ll be too OP. The only changes that a hammer need is for Earthshaker not to be kittened by terrain.

Earthshaker definitely needs better z axis targeting. Skill 4 needs to be reworked. Skill 5 needs to be buffed (tremor is a quicker cooldown, ranged and aoe.)
Hammer without a snare/cc=ok
Hammer with snare/cc=efficient.
Most hammer warriors understand hammer 3 is the set up to all other hammer skills. Making hammer a little more fluid would make it better.

Back Breaker in gw1 was never an aoe attack.
Earthshaker needs anti-blind mechanism. This is one of major problems with hammer atm.
This should be a thing with Cleansing Ire… instead of going ‘nope – missed’ and not removing any conditions, remove the stupid conditions and use the bloody adrenaline already. Only thing to get around this stupidity so far seems to be the longbow, because its skill always counts, hits or not.
Without that traited I don’t mind so much… attack misses, I keep my adrenaline, blind goes away because I swung and missed.
Earth Shaker is a ground targeted aoe as well as Long bow adren skill. Makes no sense why Hammers adren skill fails while Combustive Shot works.
Unless for one thing, Earth Shaker is maybe counted as a leap first then an aoe attack.
The longbow skill causes a lingering fire field… they weren’t really going to let you go ‘oops, missed’ and reuse that one.

Yeah this X1000. The dev said in the twitch channel warr video that the wanted to make the hammer a bit more fluid. (ex:Stagering blow(4) while you can move a little or being slowed.)
